If you actually use your mirrors, the chances are the stock ones are best. If you don't use your mirrors, take them off and cap the holes. I personally used mine along with looking but tried numerous aftermarket ones and always came back to stock with many others on the forum I was on.
I would recommend a double bubble and some frame sliders just in case

I'll have to look into the Double Bubble. I hadn't heard much about it till you mentioned it... but from what I saw in a quick search... looks good! Thanks
Also, just got back from DMV and some shopping. Bike is on the road now. Just in time for upper 80's, low 90's this weekend!
I also picked up some Icon Accelerant riding boots/shoes (look more like sneakers with a larger sole) and some Alpinestar gloves. I was borrowing my neighbor's gloves, but I can give them back now

All great bikes. I was originally set on a Street Triple, but that bike new would have cost close to $10k out the door after taxes, licensing, dealer prep and maintenance package... and that bike is only a 675cc. The Speed Triple is even more money. I loved them both, but bang for the buck I could not resist the Aprilia Tuono. Plus, I really wanted an Italian bike, but did not want to worry about the maintenance of a Ducati. Also, I know a few Ducati owners and wanted to be different.
So I figured $8k-$9k for a Tuono (1000cc), $9500k-$10k for a new Street Triple (675cc) since there are not that many good used ones floating around, or $9500-$10k+ for a used Speed Triple (1000cc).

Anyhow, I wish there were more Aprilia adopters. The used bike market could do well with more Manas or Shivers around

^ From reading the forums, the first inspection is at 600 miles, then the first adjustment is recommended at 12,500 miles. That said there are many topics on the forum with people who have 25k or more miles and have not needed any valve adjustments.
So overall, this bike was the closest I could find with Japanese reliability which was from Italy

Living the Dream
You bought it out of state, any idea where you'll get your maintenance done? BMW-Ducati Charlotte?
It's a good shop, been in there a few times and my Dad has had his Ducati worked on there before and had a pretty good experience.
