yes, i'm new to riding. Ninja style

i'm going to ride this until i feel comfortable, and then decide if i want to upgrade to a larger sportbike, or go with a cruiser...my original intention.

dude start with a 600cc sport bike!! I am like 5'4 and not in great shape, and I was able to handle it with ease. I learned to ride on my 02 cbr 600 f4i...never dropped, but jumped off once when some lady pulled on front of me..

nah, i elected to go with the ex250 because 1) i wanted to get into riding cheaply, 2) i see myself riding cruisers in the future, so no point starting off with a larger, more expensive sportbike.

more power to those who can learn on 600CC or higher sportbikes. if you can handle the power and control the throttle, good for you...glad you learned and survived. i've had many tell me learn on an ex250, ex500, blast, or gs500f, and also those that have said to go ahead with a 600CC because i'd grow out of those other bikes fast. well...that's the point, to develop and hone riding skills, but in a manner i would feel safe and confident in.

that's my goal.

the sooner i get bored, the sooner i'll have likely developed my riding skills...beginner to beginner/intermediate. and, then it will be on to bigger (read faster) things.

Smart man, perfect bike to start on. Ignore what anyone else says.

when you 1st start riding you need to learn the basics. Spend a year on that bike.
