Your kidding right? Have you ever sat in or taken a ride in a new Benz CL600? It makes getting back into a CL a fucking chore.....its that nice. So yes, I would rather have a 500hp S8 coupe (assuming they build it) rather than 4 Acura CL's. No matter how many you have, its still a $30k car. [/QU
Well said, took the words right out of my mouth. How would an S8 COUPE (!!!!!) with those kind of specs not be worth 4 times an Acura CL?

When we have a CL that runs the quarter mile in 11.99s and looks as pimp as the S8, then we will talk. The S8 is not for everyone. Ferrari's are dope, but you can fit 5 people in this car and go just as fast and have luggage. I think if you are buying this car you could care less about the fact that the CL is a great value.

I think if you were a serious car enthusiast or just loved cars the owner of the that audi would probably be asking you "What the phuck is a acura cl-s?" I would too if i were to have that much money. Audi's interior are pimp! I still miss my 92 Audi 90 Quattro, that had soooo many interior admenities at that time compared to cars now.

FROM THE PICTURE, IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS 22 IN RIMS!!!!
Remember that's it's an S8, I'm sure they'll also have an A8 coupe for less than $100,000...most likely with 400hp like the sedan. Regardless, it's sick...
Can you imagine twice the horsepower, I breeze past people now...this would rcket you pass people on the highway.
Hope cops have 500hp police cruisers to keep up.
Rumor has it that there will be a coupe in all segments to compete against BMW with the following horsepower.
S8 - 500 HP
S6 - 400 HP
S4 - 300 HP

Cant see the Pics, but its definetly NOT an S8 that I know. An S8 is a 4 door sedan, which is currently on the market here. Next summer the next gen A8 will be out and then sometime after that the S8 will be shown.

why they build these cars...
It cracks me up when people say "why not just get a Ferrari for that money?". The reason is very simple. You can't drive it every day. During the height of the dot-com bubble, a good friend of mine (and former colleage) bought a 355. It was beautiful. I only saw it once. He only put like 1000 miles on the thing before he sold it. It was ALWAYS in the shop. It needed a tune up after every tank of gas! He ended up selling it and got an M5. It was every bit as fast and you can drive it everyday. He still doesn't let valets park it though.
There's certainly some cachet to driving an exotic, but this same friend also uttered what I consider to be some of the finest words of automotive wisdow I've heard: "No one should own a Ferrari unless they have at least $10 million in cash. They're just too damn expensive to keep up."
The reliability issue is what makes the NSX such a great car. It's an exotic that's as reliable as any Honda. :-)

its about (a) variety (b) convenience.
Name another car that can seat 5 people and have those specs or better, AND to be AWD so u can use it in the winter..
Dont say porcsche cause we all know nobody is sittin in those back seats, and we interior wont be as nice as the Audi.

This has got to be fake!! First off, 10, 000 rpm on a 9.0 compression??? Fishy. 11.99 quarter mile??? Hell no; considering the S8 will weigh more than 2 tons; that shit should do high 12's.
