Talking New Accord?

Right now i'm looking into a new car for my mom.

2013/2014 Accord EX-L 4CYL(Mom won't let me consider a 6CYL )
2013/2014 Camry(Boring imo)
2014 Avalon ( Loves the way it looks but haven't took it for a drive yet)

She basically wants a mid-size sedan for around 25k
Let me know your thoughts on either car. I'm leaning towards the Accord

Accord all day long. Perfect size outside, awesome back seat space, the 4-banger is plenty of power for that car, great gas mileage. The Sport model is fun to drive but the EX-L comes with the toys. Sorry but the Avalon is just a snooze to drive even though its external styling is better than it was. The Camry is the Camry, what can I tell you?

Haha yea the older avalons are all boats but my mom loves the way the new ones look.

The Sport is a very nice I4 with dual exhausts and 4 more hp than the regular I4. Nicer wheels. Leather-wrapped steering wheel. Comes in 6MT but I doubt your mom will want that.

Sport trim has Pandora, BT, rearview camera, but lacks XM and the other niceties of the EX-L.

Sport I've seen go for $21k.

I cannot say enough good things about the 9G Accord. Honda did this one just right other than screwy option packages. I am hoping they can share the mojo with Acura in the sedan department.

How much did you get it OTD?
How is the interior of the EX-L?
My mom wants cloth seats but I would rather get her in the EX-L(Which I believe is only leather right?)

Yep EX-L IS leather.

OTD I got it for a couple hundred over invoice, got KBB excellent on my '11 TSX wagon and got a few accessories (all-weather mats and clear mask) thrown in for free. I refer a lot of people to this salesman and the manager is a fellow S2000 owner, so I got cut a break.

Deals can certainly be had on Accords!

If your mom want cloth seats, get her the Sport. Then you can drive it, too.

No real point in getting a EX (which is cloth). Go big or go home!

Looking at the EXL Hybrid. Dumbest thing is that you have to get Touring to get Homelink standard.
Company gives $3000 for the hybrid so it almost covers the diff between the NA and Hybrid.
The 9G is amazing and looking forward to getting one. Then I will really belong on AZ as I will be without an Acura.

Very nice!
I want to settle with the Sport but I know i'd regret it one day not having the cool goodies the EX-L offers for only a little bit more. Sunroof is a must!

New Accord Sport! Every time I see one on the road I think it looks pretty great. Plus the interior is typical Honda brilliance. Of course there are other great options out there at that price point including:

Hyundai Sonata
Kia Optima
Ford Fusion
Nissan Altima
Mazda 6
Chevrolet Malibu

I'd rock any one of those cars tbh.

I'll take your F-Sport of Genesis
Ya I'm pretty much sold with the Accord. I just have to wait and see how much I can pick up an EX-L for
I have a very busy week so I'll send out a few emails to the local dealers first. I won't have time to test drive any until Saturday.

Yea it will be my mom's whip but I know she'll pass it down to me once we get another car. I'd rather get the EX-L with the extra safety features rather then regret it later.

The blindspot cam is helpful. I particularly like the fact you can just hit the button to look out for cyclists.
