Lack of HP??? What??

The 05 Mustang has been dyno'ed at : 267rwhp/283rwtq to the wheels which means it's underrated. That equates to about 320-330hp at the crank.

Far from a lack of HP

how do you brake torque a manual car? I think you are just reffering to standing on the brake while doing a burnout. But I don't think it's possible to brake torque a manual

BTW< any of you guys catch the discovery show on the new mustangthey turned into a race car?

I put my right heel on the brake....and my right top half of my foot on the gas....dump the clutch and presto...you are doing a break torque in a manual. Once you dump the clutch...you can switch your feet over.

I usually have to dump the clutch and very quickly get on the brakes to keep mine from rolling.

And yeah if the 05 GT is lacking hp, then the J32 is a complete piece of shit.

What about the outstanding torque numbers? HP, blah blah blah

I'm sick of seeing the ignorant lack of power posts. That stang would lay out a CLS with header/intake/pulleys, G35, 350z...

Then do the same mods for the mustang :P

It'll be a 13.5 or less car, even the automatic ran a 13.6 :P

And they'll be some member who races the v6 model when it comes out. Since it'll be out for 3 months before the v8 model. And think he can smoke one. V6 comes out Oct 15th V8 in January.

So true. I expect my 25k car to do high 10s but I'd settle for low 11s too, as long as we're talking about being bone stock.

I just saw 5 new Mustangs test car going down the interstate yesterday. They had all kinds of camera looking sensors on the roof and sides of the cars with the passenger seat and dash loaded up with electronics. They were cruising at about 85mph all in a row... it was pretty cool.
