New 08 350Z or Used?

Hey guys I"m currently looking for a used Z (Enthusiast trim) but I"m not sure if I wanna buy the new 08' Z. What are the difference between the old models and the 08' Z? Twin intakes? is the new 08'Z mod friendly? VDC system? well down the road I know I wanna throw in a turbo kit. Very soon I'm gonna join chicagoz.com. Need some ideas thanks

the VQ35HR motor was introduced in 07, yes it utilizes twin intakes into the manifold.
you can probably use most of the drivetrain/exhaust mods from the previous 350Z's, and i'm sure there will be just as many turbo applications available for the 08's if they aren't already out.
the enthusiast models don't come with VDC, and never have (which is a good thing, TCS is more than enough granted you know how to drive a RWD car, owners were having trouble disabling VDC completely at the track)

check out my350z.com, the chicago Z community also seems pretty cool

yeah with VDC system I heard it puts a stop on the engine torque when it senses oversteer or understeer. I also heard there is a lot of complaints about the front suspension, clutch problems and the alignment. Hopefully it won't stop me from getting a Z soon....

With a new body style supposedly debuting in 2009/2010, I would suggest getting a used Z with low miles and modding the crap out of it. You can get an '04-'05, get a TT with forged intrnals and be around the same price of a new one. Also, the '07+ has the HR engine and only a few kits are available for it. Greddy is in the works for making a TT for it. GTM out of Cali has also designed a kit, and I believe they are using HKS turbos for this motor. But again, save some money and get a used Z. You don't want to be that person who gets a new Z in the last year. I would kill myself if I bought an '08, and for the same price, I could have goten the new model months later.

I'd be a little skeptical about a used Z, just because who knows how bad it was abused by the previous owner.. but that's just my opinion.

Its possible that any used car was beat on, improperly broken in, etc. I could give two shits since I would be swapping out the block and getting a new clutch/flywheel anyways. BTW, I have a hookup on Z's and all Z parts sine you are local. PM me.

True, but there's a greater chance that someone who owned a Z beat on it more often than someone who owned a TL or a G35 sedan for that matter. If it's considered a sports car then you just have to be extra skeptical about it's used condition. At least I am. And I'm not one to be switching out blocks and tranny's on a dime...
