Congrats Bob as that is one beautiful ride.
I love the pics with the child seat and groceries in the trunk. It reminds me of my dad telling stories from the 60's when he worked at a GM garage and people going to get groceries on the weekend driving COPO Camaro's, Tri-Power GTO's etc. It seems like those times are back even if it probably going to be briefly.
I am really looking forward to your review as every day i drive by my GM dealer their is a Black CTS-V calling out at me.
I really hope my car doesnt need washing soon.

I'm not getting rid of the S2000, but I'm going to sell the supercharger and exhaust I bought for it. With a V, I no longer need them. Therefore, in planning for my purchase of this car, I realized that I can pay down more of the principal for the financing by selling those items. They'll eventually be in the Black Market.
I didn't expect to set AZ ablaze with my purchase of the CTS-V. What a response! Speaking of a 'vette, at this time last year it was S2000 vs. 'vette, and the S won. Now I've got a four-door 'vette AND the S2000, so the best of both worlds. I don't know how long either will last, but I sure am thankful I can afford these and I'm going to enjoy the ride as long as possible.
I'll do some engine pix this weekend if I can figure out how to take off the plastic shroud over the engine. I don't want to mess it up.

Or he can go HERE-click, join the site, and look for deals from the sponsoring dealerships.
I financed, but I'd saved quite a bit to put down on the car, so my payments are pretty affordable. I WISH I were a baller..... Cadillac itself is not giving any financing deals. The lease deals are worse than Acura's lease deals....probably to discourage people from leasing.

But as I wrote before, the beauty of the CTS-V lies in the fact that it is a true Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde machine. Beauty and the beast, if you will. Imagine taking your lady to dinner one evening with another couple in the back seat. Everything's going along fine.. a nice ride to the restaurant. Your guests haven't a clue what lies beneath the hood just feet in front of them. Suddenly you find it necessary to wade into the throttle a tad more than normal and it becomes apparent to all on board that the well of power and torque is a bottemless pit with a nearly direct relationship to sensations in the small of their back and the amount of throttle opening applied by your right foot.
This is the kind of car people dream about. For gearheads and especially for those of us who were fortunate to have lived through the prime American supercar era during the mid 1960's, the CTS-V is like an apparition from our youth. And from Cadillac, no less. Who would have thought?

Then she would demand you drive the Accord while she drove the CTS-V. ...at least my wife would.

Unfortunately, the MT would be the deal breaker. It's also reason why my AV6 is a 5AT instead of the 6MT.
Will Y: No joke, with our Murano now returned to Nissan (lease), she's the one sporting my AV6 while I drive the minivan (a 2000 Quest) daily.....luckily I only drive about 1 mile/day to the train station.
Bob, how large is the trunk space in the V??

oh yeah the obligatory !!!!
BTW I went yesterday to check one out for my dad (he wasn't able to come, but hopefully this weekend we'll take it for a spin). Ohmuhgawd it's SO damn sexy (it was black on black w/ recaros BTW). He fired up the engine for me and oh the sweet sound it delivered. Truly an amazing piece of machinery. Now only if I can get my dad to trade in his vette for this before the April 1st tax increases

13.6 cu ft. That's more than in the RL, which was 13.1 cu ft. The space is also better configured than in the RL--in the RL, the trunk hinges take a HUGE bite out of the space. In the V, there's a cubby hole on the passenger side of the trunk for the battery....but it is unobtrusive.

Neuronbob is an MD (correct me if I'm wrong Bob) and I work in the investment banking field so we operate at little higher level than the typical Civic/Integra demographic, seeking a more encompassing package than just a powerful motor on a skateboard chassis.
(I have to inquire with my mother as to the level of my nearsightedness prior to my ability to grow facial hair.)

Many of us mods are mature in age, if not in spirit (though personally, I'm a 17-year-old at heart even though I'm 40). I frankly have a very patient wife whom I love....she allows me to spend $$$ on my cars...so ed I am and ed I shall remain. The only thing better would be if she liked cars and drove stick.
You'll understand if you find the right girl/guy, you'll be ed too.
