Need some test driving advice

As the title says I need advice on what car to test drive. If you could test drive any car what would it be. See today I turned 18 which means im aloud to legally test drive cars (or at least I hope so). Granted I have tested cars under 10k before when I have been with friends. Well my dad told me hes going to take me to any place I want to test drive anything within reason (i doubt a can test drive a ferrari). I have so many cars in mind but I was wondering what to recommend.

On a bit of a side note dont suggest any of the BMW 5s because my dad has a friend with an M5 and hes trying to see if he will let me drive it. Whether or not that happens who knows.

Anyway so my main question if you could test drive anything for free once would it be?

As a just once test drive that is also within "reason"....

I'd have to say a Lotus Elise (Exige). Looks like they'd be a blast to drive but I don't see myself using one on a "permanent" basis.

On a side note, I'm noticing a lot of Charlotteans on here lately, we should have a meet sometime.

so...you're not actually looking to buy a car...you just want to test drive one because you can?

a used STi... usually they don't let you rev it over 4k rpm or something like that on new STi's and Legacey GT's... but that'll be fun

IS350
M45
Mitsu. EVO (probabaly same deal with the EVO's though, so find a used one)

i don't think a dealrship is just going to let you drive something with a value to it unless if you know them pretty well or do have the money to purchase it. just my 2 cents. but to drive anything, try and M3 or M5.

i have a feeling theres gonna be a "help i wrecked the dealerships Boxster/M3/S2k/EVO/STi/G35/SLK55" thread coming soon...

haha jk... sorta

be careful when you're out joyriding and try not beating the shit out of someones potential new car too badly ok? have fun and be safe

I know when I turned 17, my mom took me to the dealership to go car shopping and the first place I went was the infiniti dealer. Salesmen let me test drive a brand new G35C, but I didnt go too hard on it, kept it below 5K since it had plenty of power (for what i'm used to anyway)

well im not that stupid. Its one of those things im doing so I can keep myself motivated through college so I can actually buy one when im done. I also think I should keep myself in a reasonable price range if possible I mean I doubt many dealers let 18 year olds test 100k cars.
