People merging at like 40mph. Do they not understand the entire idea of that lane is to get up to speed so you can merge? Do they think it's more safe going slow? You're risking your life pulling up along side the highway going 20mph under the limit.

i hate driving with my phone in my pocket. it needs to be in the center console. also, being from new jersey im pretty much programmed to HATE everyone who drives slow in the left lane. pisses me off like no other.

1. People who change lanes into your lane in front of you and goes much slower than you were going. Even though they can probably tell you are going faster.
2. People who pull out in front of you.
3. People that never move over to the right lane on the highway when going slower than others (mainly on a two lane highway).
4. People that try to beat me out on two to one lane merge.
5. People that drive like idiots while on the phone.

The people that do not signal doesn't bother me much. It is mostly the slower drivers that piss me off.

My #1 irritant is the idiots that wait until the last second to move out of the slow lane to avoid a slower moving car, and cut me off.

This happens all the time, did the slow car appear out of the roadway? No it was there where it belonged in the slow lane all along.

As has been stated. People who think the passing lane is their lane and refuse to move over.

 

how about someone thats looking for a side street but have no clue where it is, so every street they come up on they SMASH the brakes and look at the sign....then continue on

 

#1 years was tailgaters, but that's been bumped to #2 in favor of drivers operating hand-held devices, phone calls, texting, etc. Absolutely drives me nuts and is rampant now.

Tailgating isn't far behind, though.

 

Plus, people who merge at 40 mph (as others have stated), people who don't merge onto the highway even when I give them room to, and then proceed to drive on the shoulder until they finally decide to move. However, my #1 biggest pet peeve is people who drive with their high beams on when there are other cars around. Just because you have a burnt out low beam bulb doesn't mean you get to drive around with your high beams until you get a new bulb!

People driving "eco cars" (prius et al) in the fast lane doing exactly the speed limit. EAT SHIT AND DIE. I'm sure you feel great telling your friends about getting 45 mpg, but get the hell out of my way because that is of zero importance to me. I'm fine pulling down 25 mpg but getting to my destination 2 hours earlier.

 

i did the headlight thing once.... avoided a ticket that way.

Im gonna add....people who STOP at the top of an onramp instead of merging in with traffic

 

People that stop on the metered on-ramps when the light is green, and people that don't stop on the metered on-ramps when the light is red.

 

People who drive Crown Vics and get on everyone's ass! I see so many old police cars on the highway, and always get scared when they fly up behind me when im already going 80 in a 55. Old police cars should be scrapped IMO.

This is one of the reasons why an Autobahn style of roadway will NEVER work in America.

 

It's even worse when it's a douche bag in a high powered car. A Corvette one time was in the left lane camping his ass so I proceed to switch lanes when a spot opened. The SOB speeds up so I couldn't pass him. So I let off the gas and he resumes his cranky ass speed again.

 

I had a Lexus do that to me on I-5 one night so I just got behind him and flipped on the high-beams.....to stay.

 

When they do that I just start accelerating until they stop. I've made it up to 95 before the other guy chickened out even though it (almost) never reaches those speeds.

 

People who don't know how to merge (YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO STOP!!!!)

 

- people that drive slow in the passing lane
- people who dont check their blind spot and almost run me over because my car is really low ( SUVs, Trucks, Women in vans mostly)
-People in VWs that speed like their driving an R8 thanks to VW marketing "Autobahn For All"
-Pedestrians. Not using crosswalks, crossing too slow, walking on the road etc
-Cyclists hogging entire lanes

While this applies to some woman drivers; it isn't to be generalized; because that didn't come out right. And woman do a lot more than sweeping floors and baking pies nowadays. :wink:

 

Fuckers here either treat them as stop signs or just ignore them completely.

 

People that sit in the left lane going 50 when the speed limit is 55.
