N.E. Calssic Car Museum
N.E. Calssic Car Museum
Edit: Sorry for the typo in the title
I take regular runs in to upstate NY for business lately. It's a long ride and I do searches on my Garmin to pass the time. A few weeks ago I was coming home from Ontario and did a Garmin search for the word "Classic". I found something called the NE Classic Car Museum about 40 miles away from my current position. I kept it up on the screen as I drove and never got closer as it was due east.
Two weeks later I'm on my way to Syracuse in the middle of a bad storm. The rain was coming down so hard you couldn't see 10ft in front. I pulled off of route 17 to take a break and ended up driving on a parallel road for a while.
I had been traveling for almost 4 weeks straight, seeing my family for 4 days total over that month. I was 2 hours behind due to the rain, and it only made me miss home more. While stopped at a light in the middle of a small town, I looked to my left and saw the sign for the N.E. Classic Car Museum (that I had seen two weeks prior) so I pulled in. I was already way behind schedule and feeling pretty down so I figured what could it hurt?
I spent almost two hours in heaven walking through this privately owned museum in the middle of no where. By the time I left, the sun was out and I was feeling like a new man again. I took a ton of pics with my cell phone and apologize for the poor quality of some.
This place made a terrible day turn great for me and I recommend that anyone in the area stop by.
