I briefly looked at the car in the link I posted.

I can't buy now but this is exactly what I'm looking for.

The seats were still the best. The steering felt perfect.

So, I'm still sure this is the model to get.

It just feels right so I'm glad I can confirm this and only look at this car insted of looking for IS350s and TL-Ss and other cars because I now know this is what I'm looking for.

The trunk also seems big enough for a modest moble detailing setup.

Have you test driven a TL-S or Lexus IS? Or anything else?

I had a base TL, but it was too much of a low-rider for me. (TypeS would probably be the same)

I also test drove an IS250. I really want to try a 350, but the car is still too small and they are pretty expensive uses compared to the Accord.

All I can find are 250s and the Accord does everything better, for the most part.

This style Accord was the car that initially got me into Honda four years ago, if that means anything.

No. I have the RDX and the Optima.

I'm planning of swapping the Kia fir a 2007 Accord.

I may buy a 3rd vehicle later on as a work van.

While I know you found a job and all, I don't understand why you would want to pay insurance on 3 cars or have 3 for that matter but glad things are working out.

PS - I'd be super impressed if you got $5k trade on a Kia with 184,000 miles.

I will only have two cars.

I don't pay for everything on all of them.. I don't make that kind of money...

I'm just frustrated I settled for this Kia when it's not what I've been wanting. At the time, it was a good idea, but I'm hating it now...

I really need to not take a huge loss on it.

I paid $5500, then threw another $3K, or so, at it...

I got a 60-80% return on my other two trades.

I'd be happy if I can get $4K, and put $1500 or so at an Accord.

I just don't want to have to spend $6K on the Accord, and get $2K for a trade and come up with $4K, then do a TB/WP, tires, brakes and all because that will devour my savings.

I'm seriously scared if I keep the Kia much longer it'll need a major repair or I can't find an Accord because they're too few of them on the used market in the condition that I want it in.

Cut your losses and get what you want. You learned one valuable lesson from it...don't settle.

Changed my headlight bulbs after one went out. It's been out for weeks but my thumb was too fucked up to change it until now.

I also couldn't figure out the aftermarket headlight design.

My harness is melting too.

Melted harness on passenger side.

Upgraded to ZXE. Driver side is new and the passenger side is still SS Ultra here.

Strange. If you were overdriving the harness the insulation around the wires would be melting. Since it's in the connector, and the charring originates from the terminal area, I'm guessing it's a short. And metal spring clips or stray wires that could've been near it?

Took a piss poor stab at sampling paint correction.

I used what I had in my trunk.

Quick Detailer to clean the surface, didn't bother with clay, IDGAF because I didn't correct it yet.

All I had for compound was Scratch Out. Yup. The yellow bottle. I applied and removed two coats of that.

I had no finishing type polishes, so straight to wax I went.

All I had was an old purple bottle of liquid NXT.

Given how poorly this was done, I'm rather impressed. This spot was one of the worst on the car.

Overall, I'm happy to know I can make it marginally better with elbow grease and real polish and compound.
