Thumbs down My thoughts of the Toronto AutoShow....

It sucked so bad. 3 year ago it was amazing with so many F1 cars and so many concept cars. The only car that got me excited was seeing the Porsche GT up close. If they want big attendence numbers, they've got to do better than this. I onlywent becasue I got the tickets for $10. Normal price is $20. It wasen't even worth it.

Any wanting to go, don't go.

I figured and decided not to bother. Thanks for the confirmation. Going over the list of debuts and concepts cars was a total joke. Nothing worth seeing and everyting thats already been debuted.

And its too bad really since in terms of sqaure footage the show is huge, the biggest in NA and one of the biggest in the world. MADCAT did they let you sit in ay high ends cars? In Detroit practically everything was open including M5's and most of the Merc's.

Most of the high end cars were locked (BMW, M-B). Audi had most of their open ( A8L ), Volvo, VW were mostly locked up. Porsche had all their cars open ( except for Carrara GT). The only reason I went because I got tickets for $10 even. Most of the folks paid $20 plus tax. It was nothing like the past years.

They had one Audi A8L ($101,000) and one beside it for $183,000

It got worse when I saw the 8 series BMW. ($198,000) for that ugly thing.

You must be kidding.

Last year they didn't even have Carrera GT and Enzo, this year they have both in the show(well, a MODDED Enzo for Maserati that is, but still it looks so fucking hot.) MB got most of their cars open when I was there on Saturday. Included S500 and CL500. Bimmer and Lexus got most of their cars locked. I couldn't find the SLR though, it was there last year...

Serious. When one go you guys go to the show. Go to the Audi Section and look at the A8L prices, then go to the BMW 7 series prices. I almost fainted.

So the 745 (V12) was $198,000?

The F430 may have been worth the trip.

Why is the Hyundai HCD 7 concept making rounds again? That was originally seen in 2002.

Hey MADCAT! How you doin?
Dude did you happen to go and see the Corvette Z06? This is truly the single most reason I am attending the Auto Show. You're right though, there are some major improvements required to this phenomenon. For goodness sakes they don't even let you sit in some of the cars. Kind of defeats the purpose when your actually shopping for a car (this being the reasoning behind this show, to boost spring auto sales). My worst experience was at the BMW stand where the A$$ WHOLES were so arrogant and would not give you time of day it seems unless you showed your bank balance to them.

I'm tired, hungry, full of sugar and somebody pissed me off today and is asking for an apology from me. I am not going to give it her because she is lying about me being rude to her.

Yeh, I stayed away from the M-B and the BMW folks. Very rude morons. The Audi and Volvo folks were very kind to us. Let us sit in the big cars. So Audi, you have a potential customer for being kind.
