My shoes needed new soles

My shoes needed new soles
So, after much deliberation, I decided to finally pick up a vehicle. Did my research... sent out price requests to multiple dealers with the desired color. I decided it's time to get a grown-up vehicle. I know I'm gonna take some heat for this, but with the advice you guys gave me, I went and picked up a classic silver metallic 2014 Prius V three
You guys only pushed it as a joke, but I actually considered it after some time. Like I said, my flavor of the month changes, but I think I'll be keeping this for a while. The outside isn't much to look at, but the interior is a great place to be! I love how quiet the interior is. Plus there's plenty of room for hauling stuff. I almost bought a truck after test driving a Tacoma TRD Sport, but they wanted too much for it. Plus the gas mileage is terrible.

Just kidding, bitches.
2014 BRZ Limited. 6MT, naturally. Only got gap insurance.
I can't stop smiling, thinking about it. I love driving this car. I want to find excuses just to go out and drive somewhere. I don't care that my friends complain about the backseat (it's a "four-seater", lol), I'm not sitting back there. This was exactly what I was looking for. The Fiesta ST was smooth, refined, and quick. But it just wasn't as involving as the BRZ was. After one test drive, I was obsessed.

You guys didn't really think I was getting a Prius, did you? Should know me by now, with my incessant championing of manual transmissions.

I have to say, you and Meehows were a huge factor in me getting one. You guys and your updates killed me. I know a couple of guys with an FRS as well, but the Subaru was just too compelling.
The car fits me so damn well. The gas/brake pedals could be a little closer, but I'm sure I'll get used to them in time. And in actual track use, they're probably perfect.
I think I'm gonna start off small. I know I want the Tom's tail lights. And a smoked Valenti reverse light. I really like the Valenti boomerangs, but the turn signals and brake lights look like an afterthought.
I mod really slowly on my dailys. If I get moar low before you do,

Anyway, take it to the track before you do anything! My mod list changed significantly after driving it at the track completely stock. haha
I wanted all these fancy lights and power mods when I bought my car, but then those become the afterthought. I can do those slowly.
Just need those wheels and tires. At least tires.
Sell your tires asap. Sometimes it takes awhile for people to bite, but I would definitely put them on sale asap. haha
If you need anything, you know me.
Have fun driving it man. I still smile like a dumb kid when I get in the car to go to work.
Every moment, I feel the blessing. It's such a joy to drive.

Damn Costco, you got me. An elaborate hoax well played.
Congrats on the Subie. Great color. I'm really happy you finally got a new car after holding off for so long. Hope it gives you a long life of service!

Thanks everyone. It took every ounce of restraint to not buy a car sooner. I was ready, but abstained from test drives for a while. But once I finally drove an FR-S, it was the only thing on my mind.
For a while I was living vicariously through everyone else's new car purchases here. I was happy for all of you. Now it's my turn

You would've been the last person I'd have thought I'd see get a Prius, but you had me going. I was having a hard time coming up with something positive to say, but then I scrolled down LOL. Well played. I love the color. Congrats!
And I know about the living vicariously thing...was doing that for the last few years. It sucks, but it's worth it when you finally get what you want and it's something that you absolutely love.

Agreed with the others... you had me going for a second. Well played sir
On a serious note... sick pickup. Great color and great looking ride. I love these cars and am afraid to get behind the wheel of one. If I tell my wife I like another car, I may get beat up
Nice ride and keep us posted on mods whether they come slowly or quickly...

Yumcha - no, I never looked at an M3 in the first place thankfully I have never driven an E92. I might have fallen in love too.
cm - RPF1s are high on my list. I want even mooooooar low, so might actually go for coilovers since I'll spend nearly the same amount if I want really good dampers.
Thanks again, all. I was always against it, but now I understand. New car ownership is something you should experience at one point. As long as the numbers all work out.
I remember asking you about the Focus ST. I was looking for something smaller, and the Fiesta was perfect. If it weren't for the Toyobaru twins, I would have gotten the FiST. I didn't drive the FoST, but I'm sure it was even more refined.

toe-may-toe, toh-mah-toh.
Suyota? Toyoru?
At the moment, the gas mileage isn't great. The MID indicates I'm averaging under 24 mpg. Break-in procedure says to vary engine speeds, so
Keeping it under 4k is tough. I haven't daily driven a manual in a while, so shifting is rough. Also the first manual I've owned with drive-by-wire. My downshifts are smoother than my upshifts

Man, they used the wrong color on the article. Should have used a white BRZ.
