My Pics from Turbo Mag *DSLR PICS* Update-Article Scanned Page 2*

Here are pics of my car featured in July’s issue of Turbo mag. Some of these made the feature article, if you're interested... the mag should hit the newsstands next week. Thanks to JDMOTO photography for setting it up and taking the awesome pics. The car is still a work in progress, I have a few more things being installed in the next few weeks (Blitz spoiler, Veilside V2 hood, ’06 tails and headlamps).

How did I get the feature article? Basically, they really liked the shots and wanted to feature a single turbo Z with high HP (relatively). My car actually just recently dyno’d @ GRD a tad bit over 500whp and to my knowledge, is the fastest APS single turbo Z in the country on PUMP gas (93 octane). Unfortunately we were experiencing some misfiring and my tuner didn’t feel too comfortable with this issue and obviously wants to do some more tests to resolve the issue. He brought down the boost and it’s currently only at 12 psi (451 whp). I’ll probably bring the car back to the shop in a few weeks when the bodywork is finished. I’m also going with an FCON EMS instead of the currently installed utec.

Special Thanks to GRD (www.grdperformance.com), Car Medics (www.carmedautobody.com), and of course Charles/ CJ-Motorsports (www.cj-motorsports.com)

Anyways, here are the pics:

We were a bit over 500whp, but had to take the boost down due to some misfiring. The shop was super busy and I had an appointment at my bodyshop... hence, couldn't resolve the issue. I have to bring the car back in a few weeks, but now it's safely tuned around 12 psi, 451 whp. Should be well over 500whp when the car is retuned again.

451whp and 500whp is solid. Too much hp for a car is never a good thing, so within the safe zone is what I always prefer.

I like your orange seats, red is just too common.............. I'd keep the unique orange.

^ The funny thing is orange is VERY common on the Z's, it's one of the OEM options.. hence, it doens't stand out. Check my other thread on the red/black bride's I'm debating between.

Sorry I haven't been up to date on your ride Synth, but whatever happened to that wheel that was somewhat messed up?

^ If I remember correctly, he took it back to the car wash and simply had them re-spray the wheel with the same cleaner and it cleaned the wheel! Apparently the cleaner was caked on their and never cleaned off....

^ good memory. Yep, that's what happened... I wasn't sure on my finish, but I checked and there is no clear coat, so I was also able to polish the lip.

Which bride seat are you thinking about getting? I always loved the bride brix(sp?) seats. the one with the bride logo going form dark to light down the center of the seats
