Damn, what is the insurance like for a 20y/o on a M3? It must be crazy high.

Do the Carbon Fiber steering wheel, for sure! It's already got the CF dash.

Good job on selling your brother your damaged TL and picking this up. That will teach him to be a dumb shit and not get correct insurance information.

First of all, Congrats mate! What other cars did you consider before you bought this car for 48K? Its a fair price for the car, but for that kind of money, and for the type of work you do to try and pay for it, I'd say you could have done a LOT better with a used domestic. Like a 6.0L GTO!

Congratulations Dave! Looks pretty good, black on red is an awesome combo. Get rid of the orange reflectors asap like achenator said but please, for the love of all things holy, you need a good loud exhaust...I was behind an M3 that had an Eisenmann Race and I couldn't stop smiling.

And I know you've heard this alot already but you're young and I know how fun a 400hp+ V8 can be but please, drive safely. If you have the urge for racing, buy a good set of wheel/tire combo and take it out on the track on the weekends.

Thx for the advice bro, but I'm planing to take it slow all the time, I don't plan on hitting no pot holes or racing anyone

it doesn't matter how you got the money, you may be lucky enough to make a lot when you're young. You are a good example of someone working towards their goal. enjoy

Still a little disconcerning that you've ignored all of the suggestions to get a financial planner since you can easily build credit w/o dropping $50k on a depreciating asset... however, congrats on the purchase and enjoy it. Next stop, home ownership ...

So you haven't got quoted for the M3 Coupe yet?
$214 for a four door sedan is pretty high.

Like everyone else.....its not a smart financial move.
To each his own.

Not a very detailed description of the car and only 200 feedback? You got guts, I'll give you that, buying a 50k car sight unseen is something I would never think about doing, but hey, that's me. Good luck with it. I'm from your neighborhood also, 114st. I also work near JFK off Rockaway. I hope you have a garage for it.

thx for the interest tho,i been working since i was 16 and i saved alot of money so i think it was the right time to enjoy it

(i need to build credit so in a few years i would be able to get a mortage and get my 1st house, i have credit crads and my Credit score is 725+ on all 3 credit bureaus but thats not enough, i need to have a high credit limit on a loan to show reliablity) so in a way im planning ahead for the feature

Also anything above 725 you're only going to get a minimal drop in APR's

Yeah, definitely an impulse buy for sure. I feel the OP should have looked at what kind of V8 muscle you can get for 24K in the used car market these days. I'm personally never too rich to shop around for value. But at 20 years old, you can defintiely understand not having enough will power to resist impulse urges.
