My new 07 MDX with Tech and Enter (PICS)

Bought 07 MDX on Saturday. Which is a good forum for MDX? mdx.org seems not that active. BTW, here are the pics.

Dont like the color too much but the MDX is one sick SUV, I would get one if I had a couple of more rugrats.

NICE. I really like the new MDX. Too bad there's no MDX forum here because I agree, the other MDX site is not all that active (at least compared to AZ).

Oooooooooh! Very nice! I love this new grey color.

How do you like the sound system in your MDX? Acceleration? Gas consumption? I would love to hear more!

Thanks. I wanted Black and then Silver but was not available and did not want to wait since had gotten great price, $300 over invoice. When other 12 dealers around were offering just $1500-$2000K below MSRP.

Acceleration is sweat. Car and Driver tested it for 7.3 sec 0-60. Gas consumption, so far have 15.3 but have just 107 miles now in city. Hope to get better as engine breaks in. Sound is great with 10 spkrs, demo disk plays owesome but is diff than what I got for 04 TL. With wireless headset and DVD with overhead screen it will be convenient to keep kids busy I guess. Have 115V outlet in center cosole. Will hook up Xbox to it. Have not played with all the features yet.

Tech BT and all is great can import address book and interface to Nav is so diff than 04 TL but is very user freindly. Also, what I have over 04 TL is I can play MP3 in this now whenever I ride in this one. I still have TL and this is for wifey.

Last row seats are not very good for long journey however for short ride it can take 7 passengers. Love the TrafficNav. Very great feature.

More pictures coming soon.

Congrats, I saw one of your posts on acuramdx.org, and I agree the forums are very slow there compared to here. Keep us posted.

We were supposed to go buy our 07 tech(I want sport but I can't convince my parents on that) on Sunday but our sales guy wasn't there. The lowest price we were able to get was only about 2500 off MSRP, but they were going to screw us on the trade in so we will be going to a closer dealership offering a grand more on the trade in, but about 600 more on the price. Hopefully I can negotiate some other stuff in there.

How difficult was it for you to get them down on the price?

Mike

Not difficult at all since this was end of the year. Also when I got the quotes on the internet, this was one of the lowest. I would not have bought if it was not close to invoice.

I have tried for quotes at about 10 dealerships and those were all I could come up with through pretty heavy negotiation. I even retried on Sunday with another dealership. Some places wont go a penny below MSRP.

I'll assume for my own satisfaction it is largely due to climate differences. I know someone in GA also got one around invoice.

You can tell that is not a sport based off the wheels and interior trim, or lack there of.

I believe we have no MDX board because AcuraMDX.org has been around quite a while and doesn't need any competition, however I'd still be open to one here.

I don't get it either. Its one of the nicest SUV's on the road IMO. I hope to pick up a slightly used one in a few years. The 65K CAD price tag is a bit much.

B/C there are already a couple of MDX forums that, while not overly active, have a large user base. So, no point in taking the effort to create a new forum here... so we just cater to the other models instead...

I really like the MDX. It is very interesting that here in Toronto, I am already seeing many more MDX's than RDX's. I don't think that the price is too high for what you get. My only disappointment is the plood rather than wood at that price point.

Your SUV look awesome, congratulations.

How long did you have to haggle with the sales guy to agree on the price? Please share your experience.

I did not have to haggle at all. I mailed all the dealers around, about 12, stating the exact model options I want and that I want to close in 24 hours and am not hung on any particular color. I also said that I will pay close to invoice if you have a good price call me immediately. I was quoted by 7 giving me MSRP to whome I replied I'm not interested. 4 from $1500-$2000 below MSRP and only one with $330 above invoice. I called confirmed, went, selected and signed. I'd have never bought it if it was not close to invoice. I've always found Dec 30th-31st are the best days to get good deal. Every dealship have their own norms to meet quota I guess.

The Q7 rear looks similar, at least the tail lights.

Well, its "official," we are going tomorrow or Friday to make a purchase.
