My mom gave me a ticket.

ok so yesterday.. i had 2 hour class at 1pm, my only class on fridays. but i had a few things to do before and it takes me 10-15+mins to find parking. so i knew i was going to be late. so i took a little risk and took my license plate off to park in staff so i get a ticket and be late. well, i took the plate off around 10am and my mom came home around 12:30pm asking me why my plate was off. i didnt really answer her cuss i was busy. i rush out about 8mins to 1pm and bone out to get to class because i dont wanna miss lecture. well....class ended, i come out...and i see a ticket on my windshield. im like, "wtf? damn it! how did i get a ticket?" i look at my ticket and my plate was written down, so i was very confused. i come home, and i see that my plate was back on... so guess who put the plate back on?? yup, so my mom basically gave me my own ticket.

My brain hurts after reading that... The future is doomed...

Oh, and your mom had very little to do with it asshat... Stop parking in the staff spots and you won't get a ticket... or maybe just show up on time so you can get a legit parking spot !!

Hopefully next time, they tow your car, and you get fined for not having plates....

He thought he wouldn't be able to get a ticket without his license plate. So he took off his plate before he left for class, but his mom put it back on without him knowing. He parked in a spot he wasn't supposed to, and to his surprise, he had a ticket when he came back to his car.
I think.

30 bux is nothing vs a 150-300 dollar boot/tow fee...

Maybe take off your mom's rear plate and not tell her? If she doesnt put stuff in the trunk, she'll never notice and for sure will get pulled over for it. That is, if you don't mind her getting REALLY pissed off at you

Yeah $30 is nothing. I have a feeling if the fines were $100+ Your lazy ass wouldn't be trying to scam.

Actually, this thread was in Ramblings, but the mods moved it.

So we'll just abuse you here- so how does it feel to be Water-s' long-lost brother?

mltk53 for being an asshat who parks in someone else's space and gets !

Thank your mom and never park in someone else's spot again- she probably did save you from being towed or getting a larger "no plate" ticket.

I dont get how taking the plate off saves you from a ticket. When I was in college, I racked up about 8 tickets over 4 yrs. Sometimes I was willing to pay to park so to speak. Just think of it as a parking fee and than you wont get upset, or just get there on time.
