Just watched the session 3 video.





I wouldve had to replace the seat.

 

No damage....just a shit ton of grass jammed up into the diffuser, exhaust, tires, brakes, my helmet.....pretty much everywhere

 

to Civic... I would have shat.

I've always wondered, could these type of incidents do anything to the tire? Throw it out of balance or something?

 

He didn't hit anything other than grass, so no. If he hit a curb, that's another story.

 

I did for a second think, awww fuck...what happens now? but when the car came to a stop you can hear me and my instructor laughing....he looked at me and had a face full of grass stuck in his helmet....it was pretty damn funny.

good thing is there are no curbs....both spots where I went off I just went into the grass.

I wondered about my tires too....but if you watch the vid you'll see I wasnt into a real hard skid for long.....I never locked my brakes up either....but yeah, I think if I had stayed on the track and spun around alot more then that might have been a different story for my tires.

every single person that day had an off. I had two that weekend.....im still learning and you can see that from that session 3 vid to my day 2 session 4 vid.

it sucks though, once you take a hit off the track pipe its hard not to get addicted.

 

Im nervous about that last sentence. I hope to hit up some track days this summer. I can see myself spending stupid money on it

Got her all aligned up. With the exception of the caster in the front....it was not off enough to deal with adding shims.




Then finally Ill be adding these bad boys this week. Just got them in yesterday

Are you still driving with the stock radiator or did you install a proRAD?

oh I forgot...I did seat grommets, harness bar and harness's as well.

 

The radiator IS one of the weak points! My Elise already had the proRAD when I bought it, and I ordered another one for the Exige...

Plus these were all affordable mods too. I think Im into it about 2500 for all that. Not bad considering what I got.

Plus when I get the track membership I can go whenever I want....20 bucks a session.....only thing is that its a 3700 dollar buy in

Just the idea of being able to just go whenever I want is hard to pass up.

I went as a guest with a friend and we had the entire 3.1 mile course to ourselves....there was maybe 6 cars out there..

And like I said (or implied), a few years from now, the cost won't be that bad as it will average out...especially if you make a habit of going often. For example...say you went just ten times a year for the next five years. $3700 up front + $200 a year for sessions = $4700. $4700 / 50 sessions = $94 a session. Can you beat that? Of course not. You should do it . You can tell your wife it's the economical choice (versus $200 a session every now and then) .

 

lol, you're exactly right. The guy I was speaking with about the membership was like "hey, you get off work at 230 right? well on a friday, come here, get in a few sessions and be at the bar by 8, then have the rest of the weekend to do honey doos and family shit hahah..." I about pulled the money out right then and there.
