Spend the money on track days and tires for now. Learn the ins and outs of the car and its capabilities. Mods should come when you have a need for them; ie - brake fade, upgrade brakes; front end lift, look at aerodynamics. I think you will appreciate it much more picking up on what the car is telling you what it needs instead of a company online.

The car does not make the man, the man makes the car.

"Amazing! Here we can see a Lotucai Elidochroma, or Lotus Elise, part of the Colinalia Chapmanathea family, in its natural habitat. You'll notice, it takes great pride in feasting upon opponents two to three times its body weight. What it lacks in power in makes up in unadulterated agility. Such vehicles can be domesticated, however they are at home on the smooth twisting tarmac of your local race track." - David Attenborough, c. 2004

Nice pictures trancemission!

You must like the addiction that track racing is! The Elise is looking mighty fine, I wonder what it looks like with the wing sans the roof. What tires do you use?

Was the gentlemen you were talking to Chuck Cole by any chance ?

That was him alright!! Really super nice guy.

Well after alot of thought, I finally just ordered some Toyo R888's....those Advans aint cheap either.
Did a tech inspection on my car last night and my rears are just gone, my fronts were about 3/32 so I decided to go ahead and replace them all.

I have definitely been bitten by the track bug. But I only go every few months. I just cant finance going as much as Id like to go.

Thanks so much for the compliment!! I still have so much to learn

Chuck is a great guy! I knew it was him because we're on the same forums and his paint to sample 4.0 RS is second to none. Very humble guy too considering he buys every single GT Porsche out there, and even has a Cup car.

Report back on the 888s, those who use them seem quite satisfied with them. Mind sharing what you paid? And tracking isn't cheap indeed, the few times I've been though are still enough to justify the cost!

I have yet to see his Cup car...I was really wanting to see that GT2RS he had...I heard there were only like 3 in the states when he had got his....but its gone now

I sure will......I have a friend that works at Discount. Hes coming over tonight to pick my wheels up. Tires should be in tomorrow. I didnt get an exact price but I remember doing the math in my head and they were 50-60 bucks cheaper a tire then the A048's. They wanted 332.00 a tire for those Advans....thats fuckin nuts. I really didnt expect them to be so much. Plus another thing Ive learned is you should expect to get about 4K miles out of them

But still....just like you said....after every session I get out of the car and me and everyone that was around me during that session all talk about how much fun it was, give each other advice on certain turns, general adrenaline chat lol .....it just doesnt get any better than that ya know?

These wheels are perfect for the track. I would tell you to use these for the track and get another set of wheels for the street. That's just me, though..
