My best attempt at being practical

My best attempt at being practical
I needed a new car. Something that was under 30k, had great reliability, came with an extended warranty, was easy on gas, and simply practical. So I walked away with a 2016 Accord EX-L with Navigation/Honda sensing. 26,750 plus roughly a grand for the 7 year/100k extended warranty, so 28k OTD.

I chose blue because I knew I would be much less likely to mod it compared to if it were white or black.
I forgot to disclose that I work at a Honda dealership one day a week as my side job. I got $1500 for being an employee, $500 for graduating recently, and another $500 I believe for financing through Honda. I don't know the processing fees at different dealers, but at this one it is $599, and I got it waived for being an employee. Everything was smooth sailing until I got to the finance guy to discuss the extended warranty. It took me two hours to talk him down one grand off of the extended warranty.

Are you still keeping the TL? Or did you trade it in?
Nice pickup and what a great looking car!

I have not had the chance to drive the 16' accord yet. Does it drive different than say 13-15 Accord? or the changes are pure tech and cosmetic related?

I love the addition of Apple Car play. Definitely one of my favorite features that they added on the EX and up models. I also don't believe the Honda Sensing package was available before. It comes with "adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automatic pre-collision braking and lane-keep assist".
This page pretty much breaks all the differences down:

4 month update:
Car has been nothing short of great to me in the 4k miles that I have driven it. The features make it way more pleasurable to drive. I don't think I'll ever be able to go without keyless smart entry, navigation with real time traffic, Apple Car Play, adaptive cruise control, a side mirror camera, and a leather wrapped steering wheel in my future cars.
I've been fighting the mod bug hard, but decided today that I would at least get some tint. Excuse the dirty car, I am going to wash it today. Here is 35% all around.
Before:
After:
A friend gave me some free new splash guards and wheel locks. I haven't put the wheel locks on yet though. The splash guards will come off when I can get my hands on a lip kit.
This is not my car, but I have a sport grill waiting to be thrown on.

Finally had some time today to throw the front spoiler and grill on.
Before:
After:
I wish I didn't suck at taking pictures so much, the front looks very aggressive in person now. I just gotta make some time to do the sides next. As far as the rear is considered, I have to decide how badly I want duals. I'm going to need a new bumper if I decide to go that route.

Are you on Drive Accord by chance? I made an account the other day finally, but I don't find that site all that helpful.

Wasn't expecting to get these nor did I really want them, but somehow I landed a pair .
I need to throw on the rear deck lid spoiler and side skirts now. I really don't know what I am going to do about the rear. I want the dual exhaust setup for the looks, but I can't justify buying a new bumper and getting it painted to attain that look.

Those wheels look so much better than the hideous buzzsaws that were on it.

Damn dude. The Accord looks amazing. I have been eying the Touring with major envy, but I can't justify it.
