Got a chance to finally upload some pics I took last weekend.
I just found a couple of locations by a store, and one by a park.
Marilyn was detailed and washed with Chemical Guys products, then lavished with Pinnacle Souveran this time.
Sorry but I don't have any stunning backdrops like oceans, cliffs, or graffiti :banghead: I have nothing but plains and flat areas here in the midwest.
Enjoy.

Thanks guys! Maybe when I move to big cities like you guys are by, there will be better options. For now, my car makes the city look better, vs the other way around. Lol.

Photos from last weekend. I attended a nice car show downtown. I haven't had the time lately to drive her or take pics. Sorry for the delay. Marilyn was detailed at that time with a full wash with Chemical Guys (CG) Mr. Pink, then dried with CG Speed Wipe, then lavished with CG Blacklight, then finally topped with Pinnacle Souveran.
Enjoy.
At home, at 7:00 am, before the show… getting ready.
Found a good spot downtown before the show. I just parked and took some shots. People thought I was crazy. LOL.
At the show… a lot of German cars there, but just a few 'Muricas….
Enjoy.

Weather's been so crappy out, that I haven't driven her in almost 3 weeks. I took a few snap shots of her on the driveway before I drove her for 1/2 hour then tucked her away again since it's pouring out again.
She's coated with the final topper of Dodo Juice Supernatural.

As usual, gorgeous. I'm glad I won't run across your car though because you would find my finger prints all over it. Nothing better than the freshly waxed smooth finish.
Oh, did the dude at the car show next to you have the blower or the shine you do? I could see myself showing up, being all proud of my ride, popping the hood, and then seeing you roll up and do the same. I would than casually walk to my car, close the hood, and walk away

Thanks rockstar! I appreciate it. It's been so long since I drove her though
Thanks man! Where are you at? Here in Midwest it's been non stop rain! Flooding even. Wanna switch?
Thanks a ton! The dude next to me just has a basic 5.0. I know him from work, he pretty much asked me how to mod his car. Hah! He bought my stock brembo package wheels. He's a good guy.
That's funny about that car show story lol. The shows that I go to usually means almost everyone has a blower. I'm the one closing my hood lol
Thanks troop! Appreciate it.

SC. East and west coasts have been bone dry while the midwest has been getting slammed this year. It's crazy. I went from cutting my yard twice a week the last two years to cutting just the high spots once every two or three weeks this year. The twice a week thing was abnormal, but going so far the opposite way this year is a bit much. Yeah, I'll gladly switch.

Been a while since I posted... so as part of what I've been working on, we have been doing improvements to our house. Our Concrete contractor actually did these on the side. It's called concrete "stamping". He uses dye/paint to prepare concrete and using a pressurized sprayer, he sprays the concrete on top of (etched and cleaned) existing concrete via a stencil pattern. That concrete then bonds to the existing...then he finishes it with a poly urethane type seal to protect it from stains and weathering.
So anyways... I told him I wanted a parking spot "label" if you will. I came up with the color scheme and he did the pattern. The color is a gray/silver pony with a Kona outline.
Problem is, now I want to park her outside a lot more often... :jester:
I will reach out to him to possibly do the Ford emblem later on, and also maybe the word "M U S T A N G". Not sure yet. Also wanted to have him do the Acura logo.
What y'all think? Forgive the quality of the pics. They were just on my iPhone.
First he had to outline the area to be used.
Then he had to clean the area good with acid, etc...
And here's the pattern he created all taped down and ready to be sprayed!
Then he worked on "painting" the outline first.
Here was the initial outline complete. Looked good already.
Then he had to tape it over again, to block the outline, and prepare the inner gray/silver color. This took the longest...taping and retaping.
Here it is complete but sans drying and sans being sealed.
Here's the finished product...and some close ups.
And lastly, here's Marilyn asking me to get out of the way so she can park.

Few shots from today and past week, compiled.
We'll start with the unedited ones, to show the finish of the paint, Kona in all its majestic glory, and of course, her swirl free paint.
Now we'll go into the more edited ones…
Thought I'd throw in an interior shot...
My favorite pic of the entire session was a simple one…

Some simple driveway pics. Detailed her in preparation for a 2 hour cruise to a car show tomorrow. My first big one this year. I haven't gone to this location all year. I'm just looking forward to some time alone with Marilyn…
I love my new garage "decal"… lol. Then coated her with Dodo Supernatural, which was on top of Blacklight and V7. Tried to squeeze all that in before the sun set, and before we went to the local high school football game.
And my favorite shot of the night was simple hood shot… gotta love the wet look of perfectly polished paint under a glaze, sealant, and carnauba.

Are the 2016's out? I didn't think they were out yet, but could be wrong. Maybe it was a 2015.
But yes, I think the new body style is slowly growing on me too. Have you seen a 2016 Shelby GT350? All the awesomeness, for a mere 55k.

Some pics from the weekend. Marilyn topped with Pinnacle Souveran this time...helped darken/wet the paint. :stirpot: My 2 favorite shots were when I saw the boat/skier come by (I timed it right so they just entered the frame), and the other was the black and white blend. The 2 shots are immediately below:
And here's the rest.
Lastly, bonus...I took a pic of her from my last car show.

I've decided on the next 3 mods for Marilyn: CFM Magnuson Intake, Kooks 1-5/8 or 1-7/8 LTH, Kooks Green Catted H Pipe, JDM Tune Revision.
This will span a few months, but I will update the thread accordingly. I plan on getting the Headers and H Pipe installed sometime in spring, after Marilyn awakens from hibernation. Therefore, over the holiday break, I'll be looking to purchase the Kooks parts...so help me find a deal if you know of any
After several discussions with major gear heads, car buddies, and tuners, we felt that the larger intake, headers, and hi flow cats would be the next best logical step for my car. Sound benefits, and of course some power increase.
I did go ahead and order my CFM Intake. I'm increasing my mass air flow (85mm) so will be needing a new tune. I'll be talking with JDM to get me hooked up with a revised tune. They'll make provisions for when I get the LTH and cats installed in spring. After it's all said and done, I hope to be around 580whp, which is plenty enough for me, while still having a very conservative tune.
I'll update this post, and the next few posts with pics and descriptions as they become available.
For now, something arrived in the mail!!! (Thanks CFM for the speedy delivery.)
The new intake is built very well. I'm not quite sure what the material construction is of the elbow. I thought it was ABS plastic, but thinking it's aluminum, based on feel??? The conical filter is an Air Raid piece, which is nice and big (8" height). I plan on swapping that red filter out with a blue synthamax one from Air Raid as well (you guys KNOW, I have to have matching ). Wish I could install it all now.
Next step, obtain JDM tune so I can run the intake...

Sounds like great next mods! 580whp ain't no joke damn!!
Maryland Speed always has great deals on Kooks LTHs. I'll likely be going that route next year, too.

I appreciate the kind words though man.
p.s. for a second, I thought you HAD a mustang based on your avatar. Then I saw it was from Need for Speed the movie (I loved the cars in that movie, obviously)
Thing is though, that's not even that much whp. Other folks are putting down well over 600... I just like to keep mine fairly conservative.
Thanks for the heads up with Maryland Speed. I will have to look them up.
I appreciate it man! Did you get your links to work?
