My 01 CL needed an Oil Change...

..............................

So I took it to get one earlier today. Drives so much better.

I hate when they try to push the "engine flush" and "tranny flush" all the time

I was just thinking to myself "so many my car needed _____ threads, I should make one for the used tires I bought because I'm so broke"

Doesn't the tranny flush void the OEM warranty? I remember hearing that it could cause transmission failure. I saw on a local undercover news investigation. It might have actually been posted in Car Talk already.

Not true. Most of the newer transmissions have been tested to last 150k (or more) on the original fluid. The "never change your trans fluid" theory was invented by those who waited until they were experiencing transmission problems (whether they knew it or not), decided to get a fluid change, and had their transmission fail shortly thereafter therefore blaming the fluid change as the cause of the failure.

It's unfortunate that when I highlighted the thread it showed the text from the thread in the yellow box, it didn't allow for the prank to fully take effect.

Better luck next time.
