17x9 RPF1 in black is the only other set of rims that I wanted on my car.

What size tire?

Which looks the best to ya'll? Im going with BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2s, and leaning on 235s.

235/40

245/40

255/40

Looks like there's another Miata in the horizon...After giving up his '99, he's got the itch again and has been harassing the crap out of me to get him a Miata...My brother, that is. He's got his eyes set on an '02 that he wants me to speak to the owner today to try and make a deal for him...

This was the '99

This was when it was stock

235s look good too, I just like the beast mode look of the 255s. Just not the 245s they just don't look right to me

The 245 is less than $10 cheaper than the 255 as well...so it doesnt really make a whole lot of sense.

I like how low I'd be able to stay with the 235s. Plus the amount of rolling to get the 255s in there is pretty significant.

Stock Wheel Fitment - 17x7 +55.

All of the RPF1s posted above, and the ones I've got, are 17x9 +45, all four corners.

I personally wouldn't go wider than 235 for this car to drive on the street. Anything wider would be overkill.

Thats kinda what I'm thinking.

235s on a 9" wide rim is substantially bigger than a 215 on a 7".

If not the 255s, go with the 245s.

Of course not!

I plastidipped mine and it was super easy.

The newest Special Edition has black mirrors...it looks uber-hot. First car I've seen since 2008 that I've actually debated trading up for.

Yours is awesome and you've put so much into it. Don't trade up... just buy the S/E mirrors and you'll get the same look

I have that brown top that doesn't go with anything

I just like the black wheels and top, the mirrors are kinda silly.

More 235s, lowered to about where I'll be lowered.

The BFGs run slightly wider than the Star Specs.

BFGs definitely run wider. My 225 BFG vs 225 Falkens were almost 3/8in wider. I say one of the main things depends on how low you are going to go with them.

I don't want to raise it much from where I'm at. I don't want the tires to be tucked, but want the tire to be as flush as possible with the fenders.

I've heard that the 255s may snag the inner fender, but I've got a friend that runs 285s with no such issue, so I dont know.

As much as I want the most giant tires I can get, I need a little practicality since it is my daily.
