Must see new BMW film *STAR*

One word.....MADONNA!
Yep, Guy Ritchie directed this one and Madonna's in it. The driver (Clive Owen) has to take her to the venue. He tosses her around the backseat doing drifts, 180's, and even a "Dukes of Hazzard" style jump over some railroad tracks all in a M5! You'll laugh your ass off at the ending.

Yes, that was the M5 (listen to the directors comments). If you look at the profile for the 530, the last paragraph talks about the M5 being the car of choice for the film.

Dude, the purpose of the site is to sell BMW's, and that film was not a movie, it was a 6 minute commercial, right.

The 530 is a product. The M5 is a commercial for BMW. Gets it? They don't want to sell M5's with that movie, they want to sell 525s and 530s, that's why they describe the 530 in the machines section.

Just like the Dodge viper, very rarely is the Viper used to sell the Viper, more often it's to sell sebrings and neons to people who can't afford a viper.

But it was a good movie, I wish I could hook up that tail slide-rear door opens - girlie goes-rollin-out move on my 330i.

I definitely agree, the M5 and Z8 are marketing tools for BMW- even the Mcoupe.....keeps BMW's reputation on top of the game.

Same thing with Viper, Prowler, NSX, S2000.....the intentions are all the same (even with the price disparity).

When he gets the M5 airborne, the music that is playing is the same in the Blues Brothers when the Nazis jump their Pinto wagon over the bridge. It's one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
I wish thought I could remember what the music is called.

oh yeah, IMO i don't think it was really a flashback to the blues brothers...just good dramatic music that really fit that scene...

Madonna spilled her coffee, she didn't soil herself. There was one or two m5's used in the garage shots at the beginning, the other cars are 540's dressed as m5's. Apparently, BMW didn't want to risk any of the rarer m5's. BTW, the car used in that jump was undrivable after that.

anyone notice the crappy cars that are doing the chasing?

the first one had some dirty old van vs a 7-series, the ang lee one had a neon and some crap 20 year old Merc. against the bmw.. and this one puts a M5 vs some luxury SUV..

come on BMW.. put your precious cars against some real competition..

pfft..
