Motorweek tests the 335i *video*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8pIob0_qCo

Its no Top Gear though.

1/4 in 13.7@103mph hmm should have been quicker. IMO

Coupe with auto did it in 13.9@104.. weird.

30mpg on the highway.

Been so long since I've watched a Motorweek review after seeing Topgear I forgot how terribly boring they were.

Awesome car but that review put me to sleep.

Motorweek has had the same platform for the last 100 years.

Only they've gotten rid of some of the cool aspects of the show.

Watch an episode from the early 90s and its really no different than todays.

Also, a "NA 320hp 328"...that's a rare beast indeed.

I like car and driver's tv reviews instead. They're more entertaining.

Wow though, that 335 is fast!! Now I don't know what to choose the 2007 G35 sedan or the 2007 BMW 335i

Coupe was an auto, hence the lower time. I was gonna link the Best Motoring vid but it's down :/

Reviews seem to uniformly suck now. I just watched a 335i review on the Canadian "Drivers Television" and man, what a pile of ass it was.

^ Yea but look at the trap speed of the coupe with the automatic. Its higher than the sedan with manual. Thats why i found it weird.

I saw this show...just look at the host. Seems like he's still wearing clothes from the 80's

I did a double-take and looked up the specs. He reversed the numbers. Shows how competent a car show host he is.

Could be the gearing? That'd be my guess anyway.

if it's a smg trnny, gearing may be different but the tranny is the same. the auto can shift faster then the manual so that could be a reason for the higher trap speed.

I was thinking the twin turbos would get you at least in the 12's

I'd still drive it like I stole it...

It can get close with real rubber. The problem with the 335i is since it's got all that tq @1400 rpm it's really hard to get a good launch. There are a few times at dragtimes.com where guys put high performance summers or even slicks on and the times are ~13.1-13.2.
