Talking Most milage on Hondas/Acuras

I've been an avid Honda/Acura customer for 15 years. I had an 88 Honda Civic hatchback I bought in Germany in '91 for $500. It was in excellent condition. By '96 I had over 250,000 miles on it by the time I traded it in for a new Honda Civic. Even at that point the old Civic ran perfect. This always made me wonder, just how far could these vehicles drive before dying. I always traded in before I reached that level. So, what is the most miles do you guys know of a honda/Acura having on it? True facts please. This is not a thread for Urban Legends.

Well, my friend is at 250,000 miles on his original tranny/original rebuilt engine on his 92 civic hatchback si.

Haven't seen or heard anything else other than that million mile civic on the website somewhere.

idk why you would post this in 2nd gen CL [2001-2003] thread, you won't find anything you're looking for. i mean i've seen a 2003 Acura Cl-S 6 speed with 160,000 miles still going for $10,000 on here because it was 1 of 15* built. it was obviously mechanically sound still. besides that members had pics of 190,000-200000+ but i dont think you'll find anyone close to 250,000 or even 300,000 [which i believe is possible if you take care of your honda/acura...]

anyway interesting thread and i think around here you're 250,000 wins...

I posted here because I am a 2nd Gen CL owner and I like talking to like minded individuals. In this case, CL owners. Regardless of what we own, most of us here have a passion and loyalty for Honda/Acura products. Therefore, we probably have friends or know of stories that cross the CL barrier, unless you are really shallow of course.

My '00 TL is at 251,000 miles, bought new in Dec. of 1999, same motor, second tranny. Still runs perfect. In fact, I just had the timing belt water pump job done for the second time! Every mile on synthetic oil BTW.

Wow I had a 95 Accord V6 2.7 kited out to max. Sold it to a exgirl she deliveres pizza on it its got a bout 225K all original and the tranny jumps slightly when going 35-40 mph and has been doing that for two years (Never changed) and still is putting along with no smoke or strange noises. When i had it (180K) you could go 3000 miles on fresh oil w/o checking it, would only use about 1/2-3/4 quart of oil every 3K. It was green we call it the tank. LOL

Yea I liked the Old V6 2.7 Accord so much I bought another one for a daily driver. Black some slight upgrades (LEDS HIDS Cold Air ect. Did have Coil overs but almost cracked the cradle) Its just hit 150 I got offered almost twice what I paid for it but Its not going no where. Only problem is the damn Brake rotors are behind the Wheel bearings they need turning bad I'll ventualy get cross drilled when the pads go.

Since the Green Tank all I buy is Acuras and Hondas for myself.

Ohh Yea BUT Stay away!! from the Legend 3.2 or First Gen TL 3.2 Far more Luxury but (I had three all blew head gaskets) Sucks though I had a 6 Speed Legend Type 2 it had a Difrental problem. Other than those Longitivitve 3.2L (belts on the front tranny in the back like old NSX) all Acura and Honda is the way to go takes a more abuse than other imports.

Feel free to continue the conversation in the topic linked below. No point in having almost two identical topics... and that one has been much more active.
