Apenerntly the new M3 can have an automatic and does 0-60 in 10.3 sec.

Sounds like someone doesn't know how to launch. My old non-vtec Integra was faster than the times they got.

WTF They need to get there $h!t together. A manual M3 0-60 in under 5 secs. Not 9+ sec. Well if that was true then why is the M3 such a hot commodity. Tell the people in here that have M3's that we can smoke them on our big wheels

In conclusion, Car Point is not a reliable source for anything car related and stay de F away from them. If you gonna publish something of that nature, you should probably make sure that it is mostly correct. Oh well, I still rely on Edmunds, but not sure how much better they are.

The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.

Let us know their response... I would like to understand why they are such idiots.

Send an E-mail to Bill Gates telling him he is wasting his money on carpoint.

I'm going to have to flame that moron in an email too.
This is just too much.

Btw, look at the horsepower and torque numbers: he's obviously testing a low-end 3-series. Of course that still doesn't excuse his pathetic numbers.

Here we go.
Hopefully I didn't just make a complete fool outta myself, but even if I did I don't really care:

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Ok, Mr. Heraud is not only an incompetant driver, he doesn't even know what car he's driving.

Please reference:
http://carpoint.msn.com/Vip/Heraud/BMW/M3/2001S.asp

First of all, looking at the horsepower and torque stats, that is clearly NOT an M3.

Second, whatever car that is (probably a 323, 325, or 330) is still being test-driven by someone who can't drive. Those numbers are atrocious and are not at ALL representative of that automobile.

Come on now, hire someone who can do the job properly and not heinously misinform the public.

I don't even drive a BMW and I know better.

later,

The bottom line is that carpoint, is clueless when it comes to testing cars. How does this guy keep a job? Any fool knows a M3's 0-60 is faster than 9 seconds.

did you guys see the lady testing the S4..

she didn't know what to do with "all those gears"!

"Much of the time, I wondered what to do with all the gears in this car. I rarely felt a need to use sixth and spent most of the time in third or fourth. And it took a bit of practice to get used to the gear shifter. It's compact in the S4, and I hunted a bit at first to find third. A 5-speed automatic is available, too, as a no-cost option. "

http://carpoint.msn.com/Vip/Job/Audi/S4/2000.asp

and the guy complained that he couldn't fit his fat rear into the seats..

It looks like after all that e-mail this board sent him a few months ago paid off. The stats are much more reasonable than they used to be, but still too slow.
