Nice times and numbers that car has. A little to small for me. If I had the money i would make that a track car but then again, I rather have a s4 or m3 6spd than that, eventhough the lancer probably cost a lot less. My cousin is about to trade in his eclipse for that, so I will let you guys know how it is when he gets it. About time mitsubishi went back to the I4 turbo. The new eclipse is some sh*t with out forced induction.

I'm sorry but this car just doesn't do it for me! It looks to be the same size as the current base Lancer. I've seen people here in Houston with a base Lancer with Evo bodykit and the car looks like shit! Sure it may haul ass but the car looks cheap and there is no way in hell I would pay 35K for it:thumbsdn:

I thought the EVO coming to the US was going to have a facelift and be called the EVO VIII? THat is a VII which is being sold through distributers here for like 45k.
The EVO we get will be watered down, NO ACTIVE DIFFERENTIAL! This is what made the EVO kick the WRXs butt. Not so sure anymore.
BTW, the Lancer OZ crap car WE GET NOW will get a power upgrade to 170hp I think to go with the performance look.
For those that don't know, this car will hand us all our collective asses (EVOVII) AWD, 3000lbs, up to 305hp from the factory, handling, Brembo brakes for outstanding stopping power we can only dream of for only 30k. Then u can MOD the hell outta it.
I love it!

Like O-Town_TypeS said... that was an import done by Evolution Imports... so that's actually a Japanese Evo... not an American Spec Evo. I've seen some of the preview pics of the American Evo... but nothing production.

Road and Track had a picture the American spec version
You think that's ugly. Look at the pics of the supposed American spec model:
Apparently this is the direction Mitsubishi is starting to go with their styling. Look at their recently released Outlander:

It's nice, it's just over-priced.
I was told here it will just be called the Evolution since this is the first iteration of it to be sold here in America. The 7 and 8 stuff is just for Japan/AU.
Even with whatever discount I can get on it for working for Mitsu, I still think it's overpriced. I plan to get a WRX when the redesign is available here and will drive it to work just to spite the Evos.
I just pulled the white wrappings off a handful of Outlanders today since they were the first batch to arrive and I wanted to check them out. Nice entry-level SUV/crossover.
Btw, shitload of fresh, first-person pics of the new WRX STi are here:

The car is boring :thumbsdn:
4 doors ? :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn:
I don't need to damage my hearing by a LOUD reving engine !:thumbsdn:
The WRX is better looking, esp. the station wagon racer

It's a Mitsubishi right? It will break just like all the rest of Mitsubishi's sports cars Or lets look at the WRC the Evo's were lucky to finish a race never mind win one. Just my opinion they can keep the Evo in Japan as far as I'm concerned.

i think if VW runs the R32 in the rally circuits it will get them more publicity cause part of what got the WRX such a big name is on the rally circuit it's hard to beat the WRX. if you look at it's record on the curcuit it's something to be proud of.
