This thread has also made me realize how poor people stay poor. I used to do pharmaceutical sales and was always amazed how many people I would see in the parking lot with their BMW or Hummer and then find out they were on Medicaid (people are really loud checking in so you usually find out their whole life story sitting in the waiting room). They were on public assistance but yet they had a Hummer with rims, they make bad choices. I'd have to imagine they too like to form good relationships with the corner lot and they too, got screwed but they got the Benz.

MM is dead set on being screwed because he has formed an emotional attachment to an overpriced car, a car he believes was babied its whole life and wants to form a good relationship with a private dealer, the reason used cars have a bad name. MM, I get it, you are in a better situation then you were when you posted the job thread and you believe you are going to be rolling next year but it is still no reason to waste money, especially if your business takes a bit longer to get off the ground than you think. People are posting these cars to HELP you but I think they are seeing you maybe a lost cause. On the plus side, you aren't going to finance, which makes your screwing a lot less.

In summary, go buy your car man, J says astroglide is one of the best .
I am in no way on any governmental assistance. I was when I was a kid, because my mom wasn't working and I had to have surgery in order to walk.

Once again... I don't plan to keep getting cars all of the time. I'm not one of those people. I just didn't find the right one yet.

If the Kia Sportage didn't get wrecked in 2016, we would still have it. Geez.

Bro, really. I don’t understand why you are not listening to anyone in this thread. I usually don’t say much about age playing a factor, but come on! Don’t over pay for an appliance vehicle. Stop being so damn lazy, be smart about it. I used to be stupid about money I’m sure we all have. I wish I had people telling me “dumbass, you don’t need 2 cars and a motorcycle, use that money for something else.” You’re not even trying to keep up with jonses your just making a dumb decision.

What is the reason you can’t drive a couple hundred miles over to Texas and buy a car? Shit, fly there and drive back. It will probably be one of the best experiences. You keep saying cars or more expensive where you are. Just for shits and giggles: You pay 8k for an Accord from a private dealership (which remind you don’t do any type of inspection of the vehicles that they get). So just for a piece of mind, you will probably be doing some maintenance all fluid changes etc, that’s an added cost. Now let say you found one in Texas for 3k had one of Texas people check it out for you (or shit go without having anyone do that). A one way flight to Texas $125. Sale your Kia PP take that money to do maintenance on the Accord from Texas. Take the rest of that money go buy yourself a new phone and then invest the rest.

Ok. I'll text the guy wirh the black AV6 in Ass-ton and lowball him because of the dent. If he accepts, I can semd him a deposit then I could haul ass in RDX next Monday, grab it, and get back out here by Thursday. Spend $500 in gas and two nights hotel and only miss one day of work.

Register the AV6 the following week and list the Optima for $5500 on CL and break even. Only thing is I need the Optima gone ASAP. No space for three cars.

If MM listened to our advice
He'd be making at least $20-25 / hr by now
Buy any shit car he wants

I have a feeling MM came into money
Rather than spending his hard earned money

Exactly. Trying get myself set up with an apartment, decent car and supplies for detail jobs while I still have a nest egg.

I need this Kia gone... Seeing every day just makes my soul hurt. If all else fails. I'll just get my TL back.. Well, one just like it. I liked that car twice as much as this one, even though it wasn't perfect. I was better off before. Just trying to recover sone of what I gave up before it's too late.

I'm dead serious. Added 2 more quarts to the Kia today. Oil is burnt smelling. Engine is about to be fucked.

Texted this guy...

https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ct...038269436.html

I can make almost a $2000 profit by selling the Kia afterwards. I can just loose the 3K for a bit and recover it later, no biggie...

Yeah I'll take it and change the wheels then enjoy the crap out of it.

Look what I found...

It needs a valve cover gasket. No interior pics, but definitely a nice car!

Sell all your vehicles and buy this 2007 Type-S with 41,000 for $10,800.00
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=261927658

This way you have one of the best vehicles owned, with low miles and well taken care of.

The RDX is never going anywhere... I have big plans for it later on, plus, someone else drives it out if state all of the time.

That TL is sure nice, but I'd still have to come up with about $7K after I sell the Optima. That would eat my budget for housing and supplies, sadly.... But it's 100% an awesome car! KBP and all!

Wow.. now that's worth the price of admission
Fucking MM about to pay 7k for a POS

Capping my budget around $6-$7K max. It's a great deal, just way more than I'm able to spend. Definitely would need a loan then.

I've texted some CL people but every single one of them is shady AF, not saying much or anything. Seems more like a setup for a robbery or an abduction rather than a car sale.

Almost a year ago, I found a mint gray 2006 TSX for sale at the Ford trucks dealer in Harahan, by New Orleans. It had 104K miles and they were asking $4400, I think....

Not saying you are, just saying I understand how people stay poor, they make poor decisions. If the Pink Puppy was right and you came into money, you seem to be blowing it for no real reason, instead of investing in your business but it's your money.

It would be the best vehicle hes owned and a gem to say the least. For MM to actually care for it like if it was a rare gem, is a different story all together. I know it's a great deal and a rare opportunity to own such a vehicle. I understand his situation as well. I can't go into details but due to unfortunate circumstances three weeks ago, my wife and I had to get another vehicle (for herself). I ended up getting a vehicle we both wanted and out of a 400 miles radius, only one was the one that matched what we wanted. Nearly 10k less than anyone else. Dealership had no idea what they had and a BMW technician bought it for his wife and took very good care of it. Transferred the CPO and 3 year maintenance package. I drove over 8 hours to buy it.

I know it's been discussed in this thread. If I had to sell my TL, I would list my car for 13-15k. Well knowing it's over the book value. IMO it's worth the price tag, to others it's not worth more than KBB.

No. I genuinely want a car that I can keep for years, that way I don't waste money. I just don't want to end up stuck with a damn 2011 Kia. In fact, I started trying to find ways to dump the Kia since a few months after I got it for this exact reason. I wasn't thinking clearly when I jumped and put a deposit on it .

Is everything alright. I'm guessing so.

Glad y'all found a deal and for sure... Your TL is priceless!

If I got the 242K mile car I'd actually profit a little.

That blue TL is sweet but dayum! I just don't think I'm that into it.

you shouldn't...
especially since I had given them up but pretty much
from the moment I saw the aspec 3G back in December of
2003...I have been in love with the lines of that car...the look
of it from the back and front and side. A base one looks goofy
but when it's slightly modified...I break neck every time...STILL.

I can slam the gas at 20 and it's almost instantaneously at 50. Will break your neck fast!
