Miata/S2000 conversion?

Anybody seen a Miata with an S2k engine and trans?

No, but a common swap is to drop in a ford 5.0L V8...

It's been done.







I am in the market for an 05 S2k and while this is a neat project for the work and effort, I would just get the S2k and have a "complete" car.

Yawn...If you are going to swap the S2k engine into a different car, it's Elise or bust.

If you want a fast Miata, just go turbo. It's cheaper, weighs less, and will net you a faster car in the end.

S2K engine would be perfect in a miata because of 500lb weight advantage.

Also, the owner of the car in the pictures mentioned something about loosing 50 more pounds after conversion.

240 N/A hp in 2200lb Miata sounds like a lot of fun
