McGard Car Lock

I was searching for some lug nuts for my wheels and came across the McGard Car Lock. It works the same as a parking boot/wheel clamp.

The video shows you how to put it on:

I remember the Simpsons episode when Homer drove with the boot on and it totally tore up his car.

I tried youtubing a video of someone trying to drive off with one. But came up empty-handed.

I assume if someone forgot to take it off or someone was trying to steal your car. The boot would hit your bumper and would not allow you to move in reverse. But what if you went forward and gunned the engine?

My guess is either you would incur some serious body damage like in the simpsons episode OR you would end up ruining the drive-train like the half shafts and stuff and end up breaking something.

Might make sense if it was a car you didn't drive very often.
