I guess that was fast, although I could barely tell given that footage.
I just hope he brings a ZOOM capable camera along with those drag radials next time. Working a camcorder really isnt that difficult.

renn tech, he can prolly gain 3-4 tenths just from dr's, so that would put em at low 11's, with some basic mods it can def run 10's

Dunno what you've done/experienced over the years but I have built a few sub 12 second cars. And the ammount of power needed to drop into the 10's from even a low 12 car was about 200hp (sometimes more depending on the car). The vehicles I had weighed in at 3200-3400 lbs. 1000lbs lighter than the MB.
example:
HP = (Weight / ((ET/5.825)^3))
so 4400lbs (excluding driver) @ 10.9et = approx 872hp at crank.
The equation is kind jacked, as it doesn't account for coefficient drag and some other varibales. But it gives a good idea of whats needed.

SiGGy, the guy who owns that car knows what he is talking about, and he even said in the thread that he would never have guessed that 10's would be possible w/ just DR's and some Renntech bolt ons.
but he had changed his mind after the bone stock runs.
i don't doubt what he says.

Ya, I don't either. If the bolt-ons give 100hp of gains That car is a pig in weight. Maybe it's under-rated from the factory... kinda like the Cobras. Then that would explain how it can barrel down so fast. 4400lbs is not light by any means.... however that engine is a torque monster too...
I just ran the math on it when I saw the numbers and it didn't quite jive. I'm sure I have something missing from the equation. Did he get it dyno'd too? that'd tell a lot.

maybe there is a good reason.

Ahh, the speculation about my wife's name finally comes up. Sheesh, people - I took her name because I love her. Her family doesn't own a bank, or a town (Treynor, Iowa), or any other nonsense like that. Some of you really need to get a life
[and FWIW, she makes 6 digits, but I make 7. I buy my own toys]

Ah - so the first vids were taken with a little digicam by someone in the 'stands who was kind enough to mail them to me. This vid was taken by someone else with a proper camcorder. I spun too much on the launch to get a fast run, but it's still entertaining...

Oops, didn't know ^^^^^ was a member of this forum Anyways, I hope you didn't take offense to my comment about you taking your wife's name, but you gotta admit it is a little out of the ordinary But I guess love is as good a reason as any, so more power to you! Plus your collection of cars just about outshines anybody elses that i've ever seen or heard of, so lots of respect to you sir!!

Launches were off of idle. The tires would spin immediately (it IS a 6.0L V12, after all, even without the 22 PSI of boost , then hook up, then spin again at about 35 MPH when the turbos came online. Once into 2nd it would mostly stay hooked up. DRs are going to make a HUGE difference on this car.
That's why I've already got them

I'm headed back to the 'strip on 10/23 with my DRs, so we'll see how it runs then. I'm guessing 11.4 @ 123. At that point, another 50 RWHP should put it barely into the 10s - and that's just about what I'd get from the RENNtech ecu.
10s in a stock + ECU + DRs lux convertble would be... cool

The thing is, it's making 520-537 RWHP from 3500 to redline (twin turbo V12... go figure), so there's much more area under the curve than the equation you're using normally assumes.
