MAF issues with 94 LS400 HELP!
My buddy has a 94 LS400 with about 138k on the clock. Yesterday I pulled out his MAF and cleaned it with cleaner meant for MAFs. We took the car out, and it started to spratically idle and a check engine light came on, eventually the car stalled. I took out the sensor again and let it dry and it put it back in and we drove it around, and once again after a few starts, the same problem came again, cleaned it thoroughly one last time, no issues.
Today he calls me up telling me that all was fine until he went to use the AC at which point it idled sparatically as before, and stallled. Any ideas as to what it could be? Could the sensor be so old that it was just too sensitive to handle anything? Would resetting the battery do anything with the ECU as to maybe resetting it? Any help is much appreciated!!!

That was uncalled for...
I would suggest unplugging the battery for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in, and turn the car on, in the first minute, turn on the lights, turn on the A/C, turn on/ up the radio, open the doors, turn on the headlights/ highbeams, push the brakes a couple times. This will let the computer learn all of the loads that it needs to relearn.
My guess is that somehow the computer got a little messed up, and during the first 5 minutes of relearning everything, the A/C was not turned on, therefore the computer doesnt know how to make up for the extra load...
Give it a shot...

Thanks for all the help guys. I will def try unplugging the battery tonight, and if that doesn't work, I'll just assume he needs a new MAS. I'll get it scanned in the morning, but either way, its about damn time that thing is replaced. Any further insight is still welcommed!
