Question: Is that thing going to be street legal since it should have more power than the M5 at 500 HP?

Still bangled but not too bad overall.

I guess it's the same engine and same tranny as M5. Maybe we could call it as M5 coupe (M6)...

He probably cut and pasted the abbreviated link as shown, not the full link.

In answer the the original question: Yes. That does appear to be a pre-production M6 test mule doing laps, likely at the ring, but ICBW.

As for the engine, the latest rumors put the M6 at an M5-topping 550 hp (M5 is 507, but that could be european HP, not US hp, so the US rating may be about 500) and with 300-400 pounds of weight reduction, but that might describe an M6 CSL that is above and beyond the very capable M6.

What a great time to be a car enthusiast . . .

Good to know, man. Thanks. I cannot wait to see that Monster 6 coming out of the factory and discover more goodie about it.

Not exactly. (Hertz)

The Federal Govt. imposes various standards through the EPA and DOT. State governments impose some standards, enforced at the local level, but for the most part the only regulations are EPA/DOT, and whatever your local emissions standards require, depending upon whether you live in an area (as a result of pollution levels, aka attainment or non-attainment areas) that requires emissions testing for cars.

Under-whelmed

I don't like it. It's Bangled and mangled. It's choppy. Looks like it was designed by a committee. It doesn't flow. Doesn't work for me.

This from a BMW lover/owner. Check out the original link and read all the complaints of the 6 series owners. I thought we had a lot. Not.

Its not out yet, but the CLS55 should be around $100k and should be out by the Spring if not sooner (IIRC).

Should be around 60K for a base CLS. It slots in between the E-Class and S-Class. The interior is quite nice, as well.

I like it, however it looks like they meshed the cougar and the proche 911 together for the body stylin. I'm sure the engine will put most to shame
