M3, G35 coupe or WS6 Trans Am

Ok my brother asked me to post a poll here to see the results. He currently owns a 99 WS6 Trans Am and is looking to get a newer car. He likes the G35 Coupe and the BMW M3, I say M3, What do you guys think?

G35 would be more reliable and cheaper to maintain, M3 will be more rewarding to drive and probably require more maintenance. I'd go with the M3.

I would go with an 05+ G35 coupe instead of an 04. Call me crazy but I'd keep the Trans-Am unless he's had it for a really long time. The M3 and G35C are much nicer cars and both are great upgrades but I can't justify spending that much more on another 2+2 coupe. I'd want something a little different at least.

It would be really, really hard for me to trade in my t-tops car for a hardtop, but that's just me. I'd keep the T/A and keep the mods coming... its just as fun stock but once you mod it, its even more addicting to drive.

it all depends what he wants out of the car. the m3 will be the most sporting, the g is the happy middle. the trans am is raw, loud but the car is bullet proof. the ls1 cant be killed and mods are cheap. so its all about what he needs the car to do.

What does your brother have done to his Trans Am? A couple of new mods will make him fall in love with the car all over again.

If he gets the M3...tell him to be careful. The first couple years of the E46 (I think that's right) had some oil sump issues = engine failure.

G35

Keep the TA and save until he can afford the other car as an additional member of the fleet

No way I would buy a 6 year old M3. BMW maintenance is bad enough, let alone on one that's been thrashed.

If he can stand the gas mileage, keep the TA, otherwise, well, I think he needs to expand his horizons.

I'm saying keep the Pontiac and save up some money for the next generation or look into a Acura CL-S 6. Super reliable cars that that have a lot of go.

Honestly, I would keep the WS6 and then try to Barrett Jackson that bad boy in 2019.

Just for performance, I'd take M3 no doubt .... but if one has to consider the long term reliability issues, then maybe G35 ... just my $.02 ..

lol

I'm biased, but dude, you have to give specifics. How much is he looking to spend, and what is the car for. How many of these threads are going to keep popping up with no information whatsoever about the situation?
