Looks like my BMW Dealer likes the Circus

Because it looks like there starting to play tricks and games on me, saying there are more delays on the M6, slight increase in price and i've been assured NONE have been delivered here in the US.

O rly ?

Well after a few phone calls, it seems the dealer is clearly not tell me the truth. I hate this crap, why can't dealers tell the me the correct info. Turns out I could pickup a M6 Today, from a BMW dealer in Miami, but as they only get 1 a month, they have a $25000 markup from MSRP, they tell me if i want it at the price I paid, I got to wait 14months.

The manager I need to see is in at 2pm, sure is going to be interesting.....

Vote with your wallet. Start walking away. Patience is a virtue. There are obviously other dealers with inventory. Hopefully one of them is less likely to play games.

I hate when dealers play games like this on new cars. I even think it's stupid to pay sticker. Sticker+"dealer mark up" is insane.
I'd wait a year personally. because usually the 2nd year the new model out
#1. all the "bugs " are worked out of it.
#2. The damn dealers shouldn't continue being dicks about the price and work with you.

BTW: are they doing the same on M5s? probably so I'd think. I SOOOOOOO love the new M5. if I become rich suddenly. I'll make a trip down to the local BMW dealer and pick one up . my brother in law had a BMW booklet with it in it. It had a M5 in that bright blue IT WAS HOT AS HELL. v-10 500 horse. need I say more.

Try the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. About teh same price, and doesn't look like "lesser" models. Contrarily, it looks like the upper-end models.

They say only z4 and x5's aren't available through euro delievery. Just tell them to cut the crap. I saw another one yesterday sitting at Dunkin Donuts-black with tint-very hot.

Yeah man that "dealer markup" is crazy. I'd never do that.
Unfortantly when you live in south FL where $$ cars are the norm, The BMW dealers as well as all the other high end dealers will stick it to you good. You have to know someone at a dealership to get a real price & deal on something.
That's BS about getting 1 car a month. That's a classic high end dealer scam.

Your right there fuzzy.....

The dealer is still standing by there story which I have a very hard time believing but but yet i'd get a deal of the century if i take any car I want they have on there lot until the M6 comes.... There like the Iraq gov spoke person... Mr F900 I can assure you we have not sold your position, but yet you want to order one now, they also have a exclusive markup of $18000.

At this stage I can only assume they have sold my order to someone else who was willing to pay more money and keep me waiting, i've told them they had until tuesday to give me a firm month or refund my full deposit.

If that happens I will just keeping driving the Porsche 911 you saw me in last month. It surely is very enjoyable to drive....very fast car, but i'd like a bigger coupe.

I might even still consider a 645i or 650i, there is some good deals out there and might be worth considering that until things with the M6 get sorted out.

And fast-tl, I'd more than happy to show my proof of purchase to any member who has met me before, They will see my original invoice from a 2005 645ci > to a M6, my deposit and letter of approval from BMW Finance for $120K, if i chosse to go that route.... other than my CLS, I have a Porsche 911 I currently drive, I've never BSed on here before not going to start now. The people who have met me from here will tell you that.

Why does everyone get so suspect when someone says they are getting a nice car? If they are getting it...congrats. If they want to lie on the internet then that is there own thing. We dont need to get in a pissing contest about it.

Your right, but some times thats how it is. It was the same thing when they where talking about Radio Control jets. I said I fly them and the BS meter went up, I told them I fly @ Markham Park every weekend here in S Florida. They where more then welcome to come and join myself and friends who also fly jets.... I also said lets make a bet, $$$$, It will be the easiest money ($500) I make... And donate it to Acurazine to help pay for the site.

How many people have showed up... 0

Well some what, it just how it is down here in S Florida, going to a car dealer most times is not enjoyable... most people down here will tell you that.

When I bought my Acura, I was 100% please about the service I got.

And not only that as I have stated before, If you don't want to hear about my dealing with cars...I won't post in this fourm again. I just thought some people would be interested and also get feed back and look at all my options, I don't have many people to talk about it and some members can give good advice here...

Easiest option is not to buy from Florida. Travel and go on a road trip with a new M6!

It sounds unbelieveable. I was sitting outside my car waiting for my friend the other day, and saw one. Sounds absolutely awesome, like a new m5 on steroids. Buy a 650 and take a trip to Active Autoworks in Miami and get it supercharged

another car you might wanna think about is a Benz CLS 55 AMG. it's about 30 hp less. I know it's a sedan but the roofline is "slung" like a coupe. plus it's about 10 grand less than a M6. it has the same powerplant as a E55.
IMHO: I'd take the CLS 55 over the M6 plus you don't have all the dealer B.S.

That's ridiculous! First they want $25000 markup, and then $18000? Sounds like they're trying to milk you like a cow for every cent they can get. Phone around some more to other dealers or see if BMW USA will do anything (I doubt it).

When you left a deposit was there there a firm price...and it is it on paper?

Because if there was and now they are upping it, its called bait and switch and its very illegal.

There is a BMW dealer in Miami they have a M6 in there showroom and they have a markup of $25000 if you want it today, the dealership im dealing with has a $18000 markup if you wanted to Order one today, and get it within the next 12months.

Sarlacc,

Yes and no, when I placed my order there was no firm MSRP price set, and I was told which its in the contract that it might increase by X about of %, in my case its somewhere around $2000. That's not too bad.

Killer,

I know I know...Its expensive just thinking about it lol...But I have the money set aside so its already paid for from a Jet I sold last December.

Water-S,

CLS 55 AMG, I looked at it, the difference is with the M6 at the current price there are only 2 options you can get, the heads up display $1000 and Trim upgrade. With the CLS price you have is base and you add up from there. And I few months ago I went thru some dealer BS at the merc dealer, been there done that lol...
