Looking for new SUV
And When I see a man driving a mini van I think I think that poor guy has no balls....hes been castrated by his wife.... its unfortunate. I think you are the one who needs to grow up and learn how to have a debate without resourting to name calling. What are you 32 going on 12?
I read somewhere on internet Acura is making a new SUV, and it will be bigger then MDX is this true? but i understand its the price range.
My friend has Toyota Rav4 V6 (sport) AWD but maybe its too small compare to RDX...
Right now maybe a time to look at couple year old X5 or ML? because after RDX you wouldn't want something with less of technology level. If not German than Japanese. I wouldn't get anything from GM right now.
Mazda has that CX-9 but i believe its FORD's platform on it I'm not too sure.
Other candidates (budget I'm guessing falls into these choices)
-VOLVO XC90
-Volkswagen Taureg (VERY NICE ONE, FRIEND's FRIEND HAS ONE)
-Toyota 4 Runner
-Nissan Pathfinder
-Jeep Grand Cherokee
GOOD LUCK MAN

I am not a fan of minivans, I see those as coming into play if I was to have more than 3 or more kids. I can't deny they offer the most room though, I was looking at the inside dimentions of the Odyssey vs the Pilot and the Ody was basically double the Pilot. From what I've seen they don't have many 4 cyl minivans anymore, and the gas mpg between minivans and SUV's seem to be pretty close, for V6's anyway. Once you get into the V8 suvs then they become rather pricey at the pump.
I am not really concerned with "ease of getting in" for the kids or older people, I will just throw their asses in and slam the door behind them!! Right now I am thinking the Highlander or Pilot will be the next car for us. I like the look of the Acadia's, but am just leary of the domestic brands.

So its ok for you to suggest minivan drivers can't be proud and have no balls but as soon as someone says you have a little dick
they're name calling? May want to go back and re-read your posts. Now lets continue the debate with you telling me how SUV's are just as practical as minivan's.

So wait: when I use my 00 Quest to drive to Stop n Shop, I've been somehow emascualted....so do I spontaneously regenerate balls when I hop into my 05 Murano or 07 AV6? <---- rhetorical question. Quit while you think you're ahead.
Only way to grow them back is to buy a Navigator. My apologies to the OP for taking this off course. The last thing I'm trying to do is convince anyone how great minvan's are and how you should buy one instead of an SUV.
The CX-9 is nice, as is the new Murano if you don't need the 3rd row.

Heard someone make the suggestion of the new redesigned Toyota Rav 4. I've actually been leaning towards this. We had a Lexus RX330 a few years back and traded it in. I've been comparing the specs to the Lexus and the RAV 4 and they are about IDENTICAL. Test drive one with a V6. Those things are monsters and get average 24mpg.
Just curious, as our Odyssey is likely faster and responds better as a driver's car than most Navigators.
I need the speed to keep what little balls I have left from being crushed by the big he-man mobiles.
Odyssey owners unite ftw!
and if i had to choose i would pick bigger suv over any van. but i respect both.
p.s. i would never be ashamed to drive a navigator, i would be proud if i had one that is lol.
i never knew that volvo was same as ford platform, so ford shares plants with volvo as well the way i am understanding?

You just spent 3 posts explaining why the other dude is a tool for saying the stuff he said regarding vans, and now you go ahead and say something that takes any presentable intelligence back to "you are just a dumb fuk" and you did that when you showed in this thread by stating what you stated, you are officially in the same level as this "tool"
Not the same thing in my view.

I just think its funny that people choose an SUV because of "practicality", when the real reason is looks.
If you have to tow a boat, seat 5, and bring a bunch of stuff with you, a big SUV is the right vehicle. If the job is soccer mom, driving to the Piggly Wiggly, the minivan gives you more room and practicality.
No name calling, just an opinion. My neighbor has a Hummer H2, and boy does it look ridiculous on these small roads next to Kei cars...

Honestly, I bought the Lincoln Navigator based on looks and comfort.... its completely unpractical for me!
I own 2 1 ton crew cab picksups that I use for work. In 2005 I bought a new TL as a personal car. I never quite got used to driving such a small car in comparison to what I am used to driving. I felt as if the visability of a small car wasn't great. Backing out of a parking spot you cant see if theres a car coming.... just never liked it. Last year I decided I wanted a different personal car... something that sat taller and had great visability, comfort and ultimately looks. The Navigator in my opinion is one of the nicest looking SUV's out there so I took the plunge. I have no children. The back seats have never even been used! The ride and comfort factor are exellent though.
that being said... If I did have kids, I cant imagine there being a better family car than the Navigator with all the interior space and comfort.
Will I keep this car long term? Probably not. Its not the most exiting car to drive. Planning on replacing it with a car on the opposite spectrum in a couple years. It looks like a Porsche Boxster will be in my near future as my weekend/personal car.

Infamous.... If im going to own a small car Id like it to be a sports car... something fun. The TL was kind of boring as is any 4 door sedan for the most part.
Over the past year I have spent alot of time driving my girlfriends S-2000.... driving a small manual transmission sports car really makes driving fun again. It would be a nice way to wind down after a busy work week.
PS. Its kind of scary backing out of a parking spot with the S-2000.... you have to back out slowly and pray no car is coming!

To add gas to this fire, the 90s are over there is not that much need for massive XXXL SUVs any more. Minivans will never go away, SUV's draw will go up and down. But it's everyones own choice.
