There are probably more cops with laser/lidar than you know it... if you see a cop holding a speed detecting device up to their face and aiming it like a gun? that's laser/lidar... unless they are aiming it directly AT you... no radar detector in the world will alert.

...with that said, (again) out here in California... too many people were fighting traffic light tickets and winning, because certain circumstances (like mine, mentioned earlier in this thread), would be easily fought in court. this was actually causing more tax money (court cases)... which is why, most traffic camera intersections now, are accompanied with a video camera for reviewing purposes... (literally) each car caught on camera are reviewed by an actual person... if it's questionable? they just don't bother sending out the ticket. to "protect the people" coming upon each traffic camera intersection, there's a sign displaying the fact... I wish there were signs telling you exactly where th cops sit with their laser/lidars... but unfortunately they don't

I heard there was a spray out there that acts like the tinted license plate covers that reflects when getting a picture taken from a speed cam. The tinted covers are obviously noticable by cops but are the spray and what is the legal specifications (if anybody know) for Maryland.

Also where can I get them? Anybody have experience of them?

That doesn't make any sense. Effective overexposure would mean maximum white values in the digital record, or at the very least too much noise to restore any detail. Supposing they could pull the letters of the plate despite overexposure, there's definately a lot more to it than inverting color. The inverse of white on white is black on black; good luck with reading that.

i got one i was making a Left turn onto another road the red light changed while i was in the intersection. it took the picture 1/4 second after it clicked up to red. 100 bucks. i paid it but now i avoid red light cameras.

Supposedly there is a monkey who sits in a room and reviews the snapshots and video to ensure that citations resulting from these errors are never issued and mailed out.

never fought it. i sent in 100 bucks . the town that does it is broke as shit. they've went through i don't know how many budget cuts. so i think this is the way they(the town) trying to make up for it. in reguards to being in the intersection during it's changing to red. all they will say is "well he entered the intersection during it was red." then it becomes my word versus the cop.

well I know becuase I get a bill every quarter from fastrak, and they read my license plate every time. And I coated the front and pack when they were brand new.. at least SF Bay Area bridges have better technology .. I think the red light cameras that have a flash may get overexposed, but these days they do video too.
