Didn't see anything about bringing somebody. Usually you can bring a partner.

had the first appointment...awesome time...tons of food, drinks, massages and golf lessons all free...the way this was set up was you drive the Lexus lineup, then you can hop in competitors such as bimmers, benz's, and caddy's (for SUV's)
the IS track was geared for autox, so i drove it like i stole it...the RWD was fantastic in the twisties, and i was able to control the car quite well...then i hopped in the new 330i and had a lot of trouble fighting the stability control, so i couldn't get the back out nearly as well...also, the throttle response seemed like an eternity in the bimmer vs. the IS...the IS 350 was so jumpy and fun to drive, i actually enjoyed it better than the bimmer
the GS track was geared more for practicality and useability, utilizing the various safety systems...compared to the bimmer 5-series and benz E500, the GS felt about the same, prolly b/c the track wasn't geared toward speed...the interior amenities were very nice in the GS, and i personally liked them the best among the 3
i also tested the SC430, the RX330, and 400h...the SC was ehh, i didn't like how i couldn't push it in the twisties like i could with the IS, but the top-down made me feel free as a bird coasting around...the RX's were eye-opening for me since i never considered an SUV before...the hybrid was especially impressive for it's performance #'s...268hp V6 with gas mileage at 31 city, 28 highway (yes, you read it right, better mileage for city)...and braking charges the batteries is also a cool feature...but $$ you're looking around $48K
all in all, a great time
some pics...

Nice pics Scooter. I was there as well. Unfortunately, the line legnth for the GS430 and IS350 exceeded my 'line' patience so I never bothered to try them. (I know, my loss. I REALLY hate lines and crowds...it's a wonder that I even live in the NYC area.)
But the 330i was a blast to drive...so much so that I may trade up for one now. The IS350 'looked' impressive enough but really does not look like anything special (appearance-wise).
Overall, there was just too much of a crowd for me to really enjoy myself. So, I left there feeling meh
. However, I did come away with a more favorable impression of the SC430 and RX400h (remarkably powerful for a midsize SUV).

...seems like you read that post ALL wrong. Try again. s l o w l y. Merci.
....but I will say that I did not get the best out of this event because of my complete disdain for crowds and lines (which is probably why I havent visited Great Adventure in 10 years). IMHO, Lexus should have had a few more ISs there for testing.....they had three different lines for the RX400h....a vehicle allegedly on backorder for 6+ months.

Thats great as far as a personal experience, however the SC430 and RX400h compare with nothing.
Did you test drive a 530i/ 500E against an Acura RL?
