Legend GS 6-speed (pics)
Here’s my 6-speed 1994 Acura Legend GS. It has 139,000 miles on the odometer and is 1 of only 635 Legend sedans sold with the 6-speed manual that year. This car is Desert Mist Metallic with Taupe interior and is equipped with the 230-hp 3.2 V6 “Type II” motor. I have owned it for just over two years and have done the following subtle upgrades:
- Lip spoiler
- Tint 20% sides and 5% back window
- Hrant color-matched trunk mat
- JDM door sill kick plates
- OEM fog lights with PIAA H3 Ion Yellow bulbs
- Stromung exhaust
- Burlwood and leather wrapped steering wheel from Craft Customs
I had Scott Chu take some pictures of the car a couple of weeks ago in California. The setting was perfect - a one-laner with very little traffic in the mountains not far from the 101 freeway, west of LA.
Here is Scott's website:

My daily driver (since the sedan GS is a garage queen) is a “twin” 1994 6-speed Legend, but an LS coupe. I’ve owned it since 2003 when I picked it up with 95,000 miles from the original owner. Today the car has about 425,000 miles on it. It’s still on the original Type II engine, 6-speed tranny, and OEM clutch. I recently had the timing belt changed for the 4th time, but a lot of highway miles + OCD preventive maintenance makes for outstanding longevity.
Current pic of the coupe.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback...
It's still decent looking after about 20 years (this bodystyle was launched in 1991). One of these days I'll upgrade to something newer!
They're cheap nowadays! Snag one as a project . Here's a video I took when I rolled 400,000 in the coupe.

It really is the best of both worlds! Sometimes I wish both were black on black color combination. Now that would be fun.

Ive been searching for a clean 6MT TII, preferably a coupe, but Ill take a sedan. I can't find one here that hasn't been mutilated in some form or another.
Plus, I dont think another project car would be a smart move for me

What a beautiful pair of Legends. They are outstanding cars.
I just sold my '92 Coupe 5MT - compared to yours it was barely broken in - just 87K miles. That car ran just the way it did 18 years ago. Only problem I had with it was a stuck thermostat when still under warranty. The paint and interior still looked factory new (like yours) and no squeaks/rattles, etc. Probably the best car I've ever owned. Only thing I ever did was change oil/filters/belts and timing belt/water pump. Original everything else.
Acura needs to build this car again, with appropriate updates!

Sweet. I didn't know the sedan was available with the 6 speed.
I probably would have used the 4 door as the daily driver since it seems more practical, but since it's more rare than the coupe, I suppose it's better to keep it as a garage queen.

I am just a roadtripper and always wanted to do it. Then I started doing my research and realized it was actually doable. There is a book called the Milepost that is published annually that literally has turn-by-turn directions to get you from the lower 48 up to AK. It was an awesome drive.
Thanks!
It's a shame you let it go after all these years! The low mileage, clean Legends are few & far between these days. I'm jealous of your TL SH-AWD though. Yummy car.
Thanks!
Yeah the 6-speed sedans aren't very common at all. I had my coupe 5 years before I picked up the sedan so it had already racked up about 300,000 miles by that time. One of these days I want a third 6-speed in the garage... NSX. Too bad they never made it in Desert Mist Metallic. LOL.
Not yet, but I've done nearly 40 of them! Coupe is doing well. I've only been towed one time, and it was when the original fuel pump went out at 399,750 miles. Other than that it's been pretty smooth sailing. Hope to see ya soon Eric. I'm actually rolling out to LA this morning... spending a couple days in Huntington.
Yep, I think I'll have this one awhile. Can't justify selling it - it's not worth anything! Haha.
I agree! It's a one-way, downhill windy road. VERY little traffic. It was great.
I do plan on getting a photoshoot with the coupe soon.
LOL, thanks
Keep searchin, they do pop up every once in awhile.. There's a really clean black on black GS 6MT in the SF Bay Area right now with 214k on it, but the guy wants $7k+.
