Lease negotiation strategies

Ok so recently I have been look for a new car, I have decided on an audi A4 cabriolet. I went to two dealers today using this offer http://www.audimanhattan.com/vehicle_new.asp?v=686802 as a base and they are not moving for that price. I think in this economy I should not be paying msrp. I am only looking to pay 3k out of pocket down and 450 a month, is this possible? Any suggestions? Also is there a tax write off if you lease a car?

Why not go slightly used? for little money down, you can get a non cpo at at a non-audi dealership, for the same monthly payments. You can also get a lot more options by going that route. Thats just my opinion. Just because the economy is bad, doesn't mean they will be happy with less profit! Goodluck

Pm sent

Its a combo of mine and my parents so they want new just in that price range. With the economy being bad I would think less profit is better than no profit.

You have to pay tax every month on a lease car...3k down and $450 a month? not going to happen. A4 Cab starts at $40k (premium package), with 3k down, you are looking at roughly $600-650 a month w/o tax

Tell me more details...

Premium, Premium Plus, prestige? how many months? how many miles?

Audi offers best at 36 months w/ 10k miles. There might be some room to play around on msrp, but not much there.

You do know that Audi Summer Event is offering up to 1-3 month worth payments. Also, if you own an another audi or bmw, mb, etc... you will get a $500 back as well.

Even with regular A4, you would be lucky to get at $450...but cab, no way.

Nope. It doesn't work like that.
