Last night...

I test drove an RX8 for about the 900th time. Man, that car never dissapoints. The handling, the revs....its just great. I don't care about the recalls, mileage, or overall quirky engine, I love that car. the only other car I've driven that has similar handling characteristics is maybe an S2000. Just for grins, if you're bored one day....try it out, its a riot.

Just thought I'd share. Hope ya'll had a great weekend!

Its a great car, I'd probably have one if gas were still a $1.00 a gallon too. Oh well.

Those are exactly the things that scare me...

But it's rwd, cheap, and lightweight... never been a huge fan of the exterior styling, but it's grown on me...

I agree and disagree. It has a few problems, but it also revs to 9 grand and is smooth as silk.

A turbo 4 might work well due to the size and need to keep the perfect 50/50. A 300hp 6 would make that car scream.

I like the rotary though, its just different.

I've been a member over at an rx8club for a couple of years now....Statistically you will average about 20mpg and as long as you perform needed service and watch out for the oil consumption you've got nothing to worry about. Its no Acura, but like any car, as long as you know how to take care of it...it'll take care of you.

I guess we are all different, but I've driven the car several times and was always left very dissapointed with the performance. Yes it handled well, but it has no torque and its handling was not good enough to make up for its lack of power. That's not even getting into problems with ownership.
