is it just me, or is it earlier this year? Wasn't it normally in January?

 

yea i thought it was pretty early too. i was thinkin early next year, or even in dec. but i check and its suprisingly just days away!

 

They are having the show every 6 months now instead of annually. And I will be there. Thank you for reminding of this. I will be finishing a job on the 16th, and my fiancee movies in to her new condo on the 17...so I will be busy painting, lifting, building, etc.

BUT, I do plan on going. So, my bald head will be there for a couple of hours on one of the days.

 

I'll probably be there on Sat. since my buddy works on Fri.

The organizers of the L.A. Auto Show have changed the dates to November every year instead of January because that is when the Detroit Auto show was and often times the Detroit show often times overshadowed the L.A. show and automakers and sponsors found it difficult to devote rescources to both. So beginning in 2006 the L.A. Auto show will be in November or early December.

 

Prepare to be really disappointed. The new TL and TSX will probably be unveiled in the Detroit Auto Show in Jan...

...which is also when Infiniti unveil the next FX...

but do you think it's unwise to unveil both the TL AND the TSX at the same time? I know they are in different categories/classes but I would think they'd have no spot light "stealing" from one to the other...
(I think it was the same reasoning for Infiniti to NOT bring in the new FX at the same time as the EX)

 

Some people are saying BMW is supposed to release 1 Series pricing at the LA Auto Show.

 

I'm hoping they will have a 1 series that is open to sit in.

 

I should be going with my brother on the morning of Thanksgiving Day.

 

The USA 1-series "configurator" is scheduled to go online on the 17th, so that's why people are presuming that pricing will be released too...

 

That could be true, but they're both suppose to be MY09 when released. I dont see a problem...

 

I doubt both will be presented in Detroit (as much as I would like to see them first!) They will probably premiere just the TSX in Detroit ... then the TL in either Chicago or NY ... keep the press 'interested' with their products. Just like the old saying, you can't keep all your eggs in one basket.

Wait a sec ... maybe they will show "concept" or a "proto" of either one ... then demo the full production model at a later date. (a la GT-R)...

Yeah ... but the LA show is really early this year. I think a good thing so that no show will feel slighted if it runs at the same time as another 'big' show.
