Keep the Cobra or buy a Spiral Grey 04 Vette convert.???
Which would you rather have....I have a 2003 Cobra convertible with 4K miles on it. I was originally gonna put some new wheels on it and just drive it.....and its paid for. BUT...the Chevy dealer right by my house has a Spiral Grey Vette vert.....which is what I wanted before the Cobra....but it was too expensive. The only Vette I'd take is a new Z06 (in my freakin' dreams!) or a Spiral Grey Vert. If I bought the Vette, I'd probably have to take out a 10K loan...which is probably the main reason I'm hesitating...
Here is the Vette...
Heres my Cobra...

I love cars!
^^Remember the Vette is what he wanted originally BEFORE the Cobra. I'd say get the Vette if you can swing it. If you spread out the 10 G's it won't hurt so bad. I presume you would trade the Cobra or sell it privately.

I've seen low milage Cobra Verts go for way upper 20Ks I could probably get 28K for a trade...save the taxes on the difference...come up with like another 2K....and I know I could get that Vette for 40K out the door. So I'd go in with 30K on 40K = 10K loan difference...which would probably be like $225 a month.

I think you are fooling yourself on the trade.
Are we going to have one these threads regarding your Cobra every so many months?
Heres the real questions...especially since you are a new/ish homeowner now. Do you want to the loss of money and make this deal?
Because I am willing to bet money, that if you did do this (and I don't think you...I think you just want people to reply to your thread...and it worked ) You will be back on here in less then six months looking to trade in the vette for something else.
Keep the damn cobra.

4k miles? Dude just sell the fucking car since you dont enjoy it.
Not trying to be a dick but the car is a garage queen when it does not need to be. So dont waist your money on the Vette either if your not going to drive it

Sell the Cobra, fuck the Vette, and get a nice Subaru Legacy GT. That way you have a nice year-around car that doesn't cost that much money and can be modded.
Since you're a fairly new homeowner you'll start to learn to stop putting your money into depreciating assets. Get the Legacy and put the money into your place where it actually INCREASES the value of your asset.

I just noticed he had 4K on the cobra. What the fuck, i've had my GTO for a month on the dot today and crossed over 2K
I'd be so pissed if I was making a payment and paying insurance on a car like that and not driving. What's your deal nicky?

yea, no
Hell, I ran a cobra vert w/ pulley exhaust and intake yesterday in the GTO, we were dead even (dog fight, he'd pull half, i'd pull half, by 120 we were dead even) from 60-120 last night.
The Vette will be as quick as a lightly modded cobra, but it'll handle a lot better.

He's either an attention whore or he really has committment issues.
Replace "Cobra" with "girlfriend" and you've read every thread he's ever written in D&R.

I think I do have committment issues! A GF is a pain in the ass! My D&R threads always have a good point to them! As for the Vette, I'm gonna go look at it to see If I like it!
CLPower: If I lived in Cali, I wouldn't have my accord as a "daily driver" and I'd get to enjoy the car more then 6 months!
And the chopper is a pipe dream...I think i want it just because I can't have it!

living in cali should have nothing to do with it, you've had this car for a good amount of time. Hell I put 6,000 miles on my 55 last year alone. (keep in mind, the car is stored an hour away from where I live)
4K on a car you've had for well over a year is absolutely pathetic and way past riding the short bus

People up north put more miles on bikes in ONE season than you have on your car in almost 2 years.
What aggrevates me the most is how much I want a cobra and you have one but yet you dont enjoy it.

Burn some dust here
Keep the Cobra. The Vette sounds like it is too much (should be around 37-38) and you would get rid of a car that you have payed off. I agree with the others that if you get rid of it, get a Legacy GT or mod the Cobra.
You would have a field day with my dad then. 03 SL that has around 4,500 miles on it. Fucking ridiculous.

Nicky, don't let these people bother you... I go thru the same thing every week, I just don't post about it
I do drive the my CLS 6spd all year long, and I'll probably do the same with the next car I buy (what that is, depends on the week).
