So we'll try a 30mph roll.

If i win, i win. If i lose, just as good.

If i get slaughtered, i might be a little sad.

What kind of car were you driving? Cause if it was a CL-S, you bette have a S/C or nitrous.

Saw a white one the other day, watched it approach me, saw a cute girl driving. Naturally I assumed it would be a v6, but as she drove by, even at a low idle, I heard the v8 and saw the dual exhaust. The car looked like any of pics, it was a nice looking car, nothing radically new, but it was a change for the better imo.

That was exactly like the one I saw for the first time on the road. I actually thought it was decent looking.

I could have bought the new GT, I just don't like it as much as my 03 Cobra.

I thought about buying an 04 Cobra, but the 05 makes the SN95 look antique. The suspension and chassis of the 05 Mustang is vastly superior as is the interior. I would have loved the Cobra's motor/tranny, since that is the only thing I find better.

True, the chassis is better, but hyperutectic pistons and crank leave very little room for modifications! They can't handle that much power.

What mods have you done to your Cobra?

As for power, procharger had a S/Ced 05 GT at SEMA that made 500hp IIRC. I would be happy with that.

My girlfirend is getting me my intake for x-mas and I have pu Borla Stingers on it so far. But....in the future....I want to by the 2.2 Kenne Bell twin screw blower. Its a direct replacement for the stock blower....and all I'd have to change is the fuel pump and I'll be at atleast 600hp to the wheels!

I'm not downplaying your car at all....for what I want, the 03/04 Cobra is a better option! Stock, the beat Z06s and hang with Vipers....for around $1000, you can tak out a Viper....and for about $5000 total, you could take out most crotch rockets on the street....in a 3800lb car.

For style and sophistication....the 05 GT is perfect. It will run a mid to high 13 sec 1/4 mile, is new and kind of retro, but if you are looking for a muscle car...the Cobra is the way to go!

An 04 Cobra utilizes an independent rear suspension, the 05 does not. I don't know what would be "vastly" better about it. Now, if you were comparing an 05 GT with an 04 GT, than you may have a point.

The chassis on the 05 is much more rigid and uses modern technology. The Cobra's IRS was an afterthough and a poor design from what I have heard. Yes, the 05 GT has a 3 link suspension, but it pulls better slalom and skidpad numbers than any other Mustang tested except the 00' Cobra R. Ford really did a great job with the new 05 handling wise. To get a SN95 to handle like the new GT you would have to do a lot of chassis bracing and minor suspension mods.

Test drive the 05, it's a great step forward. It's no Z06, but it should be able to hold its own. I will be putting 285's all around to help improve grip and stability. The stock 235/55/17's arent the best choice IMO.

Don't think they will fit without a mini-tub, which no one makes Plus 335's are too pricey for my blood.

Dont go wider than 275's up front, trust me. I have 275/40/17 Nitto 555's on mine, and they track alot, and absolutely kill turning radius. They do help with understeer though

Didn't the old Gt beat an Integra TypeR around the track in SCC? Hey, they compared it.

Not many people buy a Mustang and say "I'm gonna improve its handling......" Nope....they like superchargers.....nitrous....and drag radials!

According to all the reviews of the new 05 Mustang that I've read, they said it's a night and day improvement over the 04 Mustang in terms in handling.

It's not as nimble as a S2000 for example, but it's a very good handling car now
