Just a Reminder
Just a Reminder
Did you know that over 41,000 people die each year in the United States due to car accidents?
Im posting this thread in memory of all those lives taken by motor vehicles and as a reminder to slow down and buckle up.
This is what speeding does.. thank God to modern technology i still have my life..

Glad you’re here to remind us all what can happen when driving “crazy”.
Certainly speed plays an important role in car accidents, along with numerous distractions while driving, but let's not forget about driving while impaired. It's just a shame that in a great many motor vehicle accidents involving a drunk driver, the victims are the unfortunate people that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, while the drunk driver is able to continue on with their life.
Most recent I'm certain you've all hear about:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4055343
Out of the 42,000 people killed (about 5 an hour), there were 13,470 fatalities in crashes involving an alcohol-impaired driver (BAC of .08 or higher) – 32% of total traffic fatalities for the year. In California that number is even higher at 42%.
16,005 people were killed in the United States in alcohol-related motor vehicle traffic crashes (BAC of .01 or higher).
1,794 children age 14 and younger were killed in motor vehicle crashes. Of those 1,794 fatalities, 306 (17%) occurred in alcohol-impaired driving crashes.
To put accidents in perspective, there are 730 accidents each hour, or 12 every minute.
Be Safe!

ya... i deff crashed because of how fast i was going and car not being able to hold the road!.. i am a very cautious driver and pay attention to almost everything on the road while i drive.. and im pretty sure speeding almost killed me..... but you touch on another good point with people not paying attention!... my point was for everyone to be safe over the holidays.. and ya watch out for drunk drivers as well..
