not bad at all, can you define "giving them away" a little more precisely for us?

After seeing the car on a test track after a few laps I would never buy the GTO. The car was smoking and check engine light came on. Although no one would ever drive the car that hard on the street the other cars that were there had no problems lap after lap. Those other cars were a STI,M3, Boxster and S4.

Just be ready to explain to people on the street that it's NOT a Chevy Cavalier. One of the coworkers has one and people have no clue what it is. It's a little to bland for my taste.

Congrats though.

In Dallas a dealer has advertised $6500 off, so that brings the price down closer to what the car is really worth. I sat in one for the 2nd or 4rd time at the State Fair yesterday, For the first time I was disappoint in the interior quality of the dash controls. A/C controls seemed a bit cheap.

The performance is not to be questioned, though. Except for lack of Navi, this one was on my short list to replace my '00 TL, since I used to drive a '97 Z28.

My TL-S just got totaled last week in a freak occurrence and I'm looking for a new car, and the '04 GTO in black with red interior is on the top of my list. Is there anyway you could fill me in (PM of course) on where exactly you bought the car or how much you paid maybe, because I really don't want to get ripped off in this situation if they are basically giving them away. The dealer told me around $395 for 48 months and I basically laughed in his face, so there has to be other dealers in the NY/NJ area looking to give away these cars. Thanks!

How would you feel if you came to "YOUR" Internet car forum to talk about your New Car and someone(or two) said You paid too much, its ugly..etc.?

I mean christ..

Even with the 6k break on Factory Cash...the Best Lease out there is going to be in the mid to low $300.00 area depending on your Credit Score. That is with 2k down for 3 years. How do I know this??? One of my best friends is an F&I Manager @ the local PONTIAC Dealer.

I wanted to come up with something more appropriate but the word DICK is really what best describes you. Sorry. Fact remains someone posted their opinion AND experience and you made your lame remark. I worked for a dealership a while back and I know for a fact that the F&I manager is nothing more then a corrupt money collector. After they feel someone out, they will add a couple points onto the score, since the buyer never actually sees that on paper. Then they collect the extra money made from the extra points without the buyer ever knowing. In other words, your friend is a crook and you're a dumbass for listening to him.

actually, that wasnt HIS experience. he posted what he SAW. either way, if what he SAW is what i think it is... it was a GTO that an aftermarket company hooked up for some event and they had very little time to do it and a bunch of stuff wasnt working right.

He was at a track. That's an experience. He saw things he didn't like, thats an experience. You can make your "judgement" of my remarks all day, still won't change my thoughts on the car. I like it. I don't particularly like the styling, too soft and looks like other pontiacs. It just doesn't stand out. I do like the interior and of course the power. If I were in the market I would still take a trip to the dealership to check one out. With that said, it doesn't change that NSX_Pilot posted his opinions, which I respect whether I believe the same thing or not.

also im keepin my TLS till the end of the lease part of the deal was that they are cutting me a check for my 10 remaining lease payments and my insurance is all payed up till march so atleast ill have a front wheel drive car for the NJ winter.............but yea the program was insane.only thing is i think the program is over at the end of the mounth because the salesman told me that they cant lease 04's after Sept....they have 2 go retail w/ it dont know the basics of that

get snow tires and it will drive like it was dry pavement. i put snow tires on every car in the winter. much safer and much easier to drive than any all season tire ever could
