I just think the Z06 will fit the bill on so many levels... but my hang up is that to most people, it's just a Vette, whereas the others (Elise and Viper especially) stand out. I tend to lean towards vehicles that are different, and Vettes are everywhere and get the reaction typically described by you from that 23 y/o hottie. Even my wife, who is into cars, breaks my balls saying I'm too young for a mid-life crisis so I can't get the Vette... etc...

So, as an owner, what are your thoughts?
do you really want a very fun car to drive, one than can easily be daily driven, takes u pretty much every where, good gas mileage, and some what attention (not necessarily women) GET A C6 Z06. i dont think there is any other car in the world that offers as much as a Z06 does, other than GTR, but i hate driving them. Personally I love the car and would keep it forever if I could. there is nothing I dont like about it, other then the OEM sound system.

but if you are looking for attention, nice cruiser, not a daily(able), get something else. I've never driven CTS-V so i dont know about it. Elise would be too small for me, although very fun to drive, but i would get bored fast since you wont be able to get a good use out of it in normal driving. Viper would be great, very raw feel to it, which i prefer.

I would not call my car a midlife crisis car at all unless it was just a regular C6 (not offense Steve ) Especially when you have a nice exhaust system, and a cam in it. most people have described the sound of my car as "terrorizing".

Im going to step away from mine for a little while and get another car, which im very close to picking up. plan is to go through a different car every 6 months or so. and pick up another Z06 in a few years and go all out on it, TT and what not.

as far as drop top or targa top goes, you can always get a Grand Sport (comes with Z06 wide body)

Thanks for the reply.

Definitely doesn't have to be daily drivable, but would still want something a little comfy in case the wife and I head to the mountains or something. Could we do it in a Viper or Elise... sure. Would we want to? Depends. I'd also like to be able to go to Cars & Coffee in the summer... then throw a small duffle bag in the trunk (or pass seat, whatever) and head up to Lake Hickory for the night or something. Again, likely something they can all do. I also need to decide if I want fun to drive, or fun to drive plus power.

I'm thinking once we're done with the garage and the time comes, I'll just have to get out and drive them all... then go from there.

thank for the video justin

swoosh i forgot what kind it was, but what ever u get, they never work.
my exhaust is always touching the ground on inclines so it tears apart easily. i ordered this one thru summit racing. prolly about 150 bucks for 100 ft or so.

they suck. never again. tried it on the acura too, same problem.

Get them coated. JetHot does it, as do a few other places. It just sucks that you'll be without your parts for awhile. But you may be able to find someplace local that does it too.

My brother got his pipes on his bike coated by Jet-Hot about 7 years ago. They still look great and the pipes are noticeably cooler after a long ride.

The coating acts as a barrier. It keeps the heat in the pipes, not everything else.

Also Vettes scare me, ever since I watched my bro spin out and crash his, they live deep down inside me and scare the living piss out of me.

It looks and sounds amazing, for your age you're doing incredible and I am green with envy!

Keep it up

Be on the look out for some representatives from Ohio at TX2K12, 1000hp Supra and a 1550awhp TT Gallardo. i wish i could go.

Two thoughts...

1. That's cool of him...

2. You fit your parents and sister in your C2S or did they drive separately?
