OK, stupid question... but how do you like it? I keep going back and forth with what I want for a pleasure vehicle between an Elise, CTS-V Coupe, Viper, and Z06 (whatever I get will be pre-owned. Some other sucker can pay depreciation). Thing is I really wanted a drop top... but now my wife says she wants a pre-owned Jeep Wrangler for fun... so if we have that, it can be my topless car.
I just think the Z06 will fit the bill on so many levels... but my hang up is that to most people, it's just a Vette, whereas the others (Elise and Viper especially) stand out. I tend to lean towards vehicles that are different, and Vettes are everywhere and get the reaction typically described by you from that 23 y/o hottie. Even my wife, who is into cars, breaks my balls saying I'm too young for a mid-life crisis so I can't get the Vette... etc...
So, as an owner, what are your thoughts?

Elise would be too small for me, although very fun to drive, but i would get bored fast since you wont be able to get a good use out of it in normal driving. Im going to step away from mine for a little while and get another car, which im very close to picking up. plan is to go through a different car every 6 months or so. and pick up another Z06 in a few years and go all out on it, TT and what not.
as far as drop top or targa top goes, you can always get a Grand Sport (comes with Z06 wide body)

do you really want a very fun car to drive, one than can easily be daily driven, takes u pretty much every where, good gas mileage, and some what attention (not necessarily women) GET A C6 Z06. i dont think there is any other car in the world that offers as much as a Z06 does, other than GTR, but i hate driving them. Personally I love the car and would keep it forever if I could. there is nothing I dont like about it, other then the OEM sound system.

I'd also like to be able to go to Cars & Coffee in the summer... then throw a small duffle bag in the trunk (or pass seat, whatever) and head up to Lake Hickory for the night or something. Again, likely something they can all do. I also need to decide if I want fun to drive, or fun to drive plus power.
I'm thinking once we're done with the garage and the time comes, I'll just have to get out and drive them all... then go from there.

swoosh i forgot what kind it was, but what ever u get, they never work.
my exhaust is always touching the ground on inclines so it tears apart easily. i ordered this one thru summit racing. prolly about 150 bucks for 100 ft or so.
they suck. never again. tried it on the acura too, same problem.

Get them coated. JetHot does it, as do a few other places. It just sucks that you'll be without your parts for awhile. But you may be able to find someplace local that does it too.
My brother got his pipes on his bike coated by Jet-Hot about 7 years ago. They still look great and the pipes are noticeably cooler after a long ride.

I took out my parents and sister for Korean BBQ last night. This old Korean dude was the valet, he politely advised me to park in a wide stall in the 2nd floor that had concrete posts on both sides. I gave him a few bills when I was walking back to my ride, he said "You young man, have nice car and nice personality!" in broken Engrish. Made my night LOL.
