I have to share this. A local dealer listed a '96 Integra. I think this would be awesome, even if only to keep it from being absurdly riced. It's a special edition rather than a GS-R, but how many examples like this even still exist?
I mean, it even has the original cassette player in it. And three pedals!

I felt a need to share with people that may share my enthusiasm, or at least not just say, "a 15 year old compact car? You''re nuts."

I'm probably stating the
, but Carfax isn't always a good source of knowing if the car has been in an accident.
My dumbass didn't realize that the 2nd Integra I picked up was in an accident until after I purchased it, yet the carfax for the car was clear.

At the time, I used to love the dark purple color they had on the 97 model, but they only offered it with the beige interior.

Thanks. I know about Carfax's holes and would want to get an inspection. The Acura dealer in the area is owned by the same company, though, so I'd want to take it to an indie. I'd have to put a few miles on it to take it to the mechanic I use for my Honda.
My thoughts on the tan interior is how clean it is, since those tend to show grime pretty easily.
As for the price, it's $7K. My first reaction is that it's very high, but when looked at as a great example of an enthusiast-oriented car, the likes of which Honda no longer makes, it doesn't seem so bad. Maybe I'm justifying too much already.

Very great example and my TL aspires to be like it in 15 years.
I dont like tan in our TL's, but for some reason that car's interior is turning me on.
Although, it would be extra sexy in black.
I'm very glad the owner never added anything aesthetically.

agreed, very clean. i do prefer cloth seats though.
was it someone here who posted an ad from a dealer for a mint BB6 silver prelude with only ~20,000miles? man, that was mint to death, but unfortunately the price was crazy (~$20k).

Rockstar - At least there aren't black curtains. But damn, I shouldn't have clicked that link.
invisiblewar - It has the base 1.8L I4 SMPI DOHC 16V. Made 142 hp when new. It shows a little more of its age:

Aman - Yup. And I can't find anything recently made I like. I showed this to some relatives who think I'm nuts to consider a car even older than my Accord Coupe.

Somewhere out there, a ricer is hitting up every family member he can find so he can buy that car and 'soup it up'.
Somebody save it from going down the same road that has claimed countless others.

SOMEBODY save this Integra!
it's so....beautiful! I agree with you, OP!
In a search for a new car for a friend, I ran across a 2001 Integra GS-R w/ 56k miles. Black on black and absolutely bone stock. Unfortunately it sold in about 2 days; probably to be riced out.
Legend2TL - That's astounding. Given the heavy use of road salt where I live, I don't see many cars that age well.
PortlandRL and others - The likelihood of that hurts. After I saw this listing, I looked at those for other Integras, as well as Preludes and RSXs. It was not pretty. After seeing the "one of a kind" RSX with lambo doors among other things, I had to stop.

Legend2TL, AWESOME Teggy. I liked the next gen after that one better, but all the same, it looks like it was well cared for.
